Coach Vs Dooney

I really prefer Coach, but my mom prefers the D&B bags. I think they are just different styles that appeal to different people. Like Pursegrrl said, it is comparing apples and oranges to me.

I like certain bags of both brands. In the Dooney, I especially like vintage AWL bags.

I love Coach, but i like Dooney as well. I feel as if their bags are a bit heavier than Coach's.

I used to like Dooney more, but now I am kind of over them. I prefer Coach. I may go back to Dooney one day, but it would have to be pretty special. I will say that MY all time favorite Dooney is their barrel bag, because it is not too big, not too small and really well organized. I wish Coach made a bag like this, I would be in bag heaven!

I think the Dooney's are OK, I really liked their Tattoo print - I bought the wristlet (couldn't get a hold of a purse in that print.) But nothing else really appealed to me. A little "mom" as opposed to sophisticated, but that's just a matter of personal taste really. But I go for the wackier coach items, like the green and white zebra gallery tote, or the pink suede limited edition satchel.

I used to think D&B bags were cute when I saw them in catalogs, until I saw them in person. I think the colors are very muted compared to the catalog pictures. I think some of the graphic prints are oriented to young girls more than women. Although, I might be thinking this way because I am a Coach addict, Coach and Chanel are the only bags I invest in.

I own a Dooney signature bag and I loved it the first I got it. It lasted only a month though. Got sick of it and now its in storage. Dooney style now looks kind of kiddy-ish to me. I like Coach though, defintely the hamptons style.

i dont like dooney at all! maybe on a 10 year old? though there are some classier looking dooneys lately.. so props for that!

I find Dooney bags look a lot cheaper looking than coach, and Coach's signature pattern is way classier looking/goes with more than Dooney's patterned bags, in my opinion

D&B AWL is sentimental to me because that was my first "big" bag purchase almost 15 years ago. Comparing it to Coach is apples and oranges, IMO. Each is far different now. I have a couple Coach pieces (recent purchases within this year) and I adore them.

This is exactly how I feel too.
