So I want to call and order a bag from the store --- can I really get free shipping --? Do they deliver it to the store or directly to me? Do I have to ask for it or is it automatic?
I hope their SA's are better over the phone than they are in person!
TY for all your comments.. very informative

you get free shipping if you order in the store, but sometimes they will let you have if you say something like 'i really want this bag and wish i could get to the store to pick it up but i thew out my back and cant drive.' it can be shipped to your home, work, or store (or someone eles' place)

Yay! just called Prov coach store and spoke with someone really nice ... i asked for free shipping and got it! Bought the sig stripe swing in punch.. Can't wait.. will be here in 3-5 days!

Wow that's crazy. The Coach Store here in Boston, the two times I've been in they've been soooo nice but now I wonder because both times I've come in right after work so I was dressed nice. Maybe I should try again in jeans and a tshirt and see how I'm treated. ;P

I've had some weird experiences in my Coach boutique. It has only been open less than a year and our mall is not an "upscale" mall, but sometimes you would think the SAs think we're on Rodeo drive! The problem with ours is there are lots of very young girls who think they're "too cool" because they work at Coach. Also, I get much better service if my husbands with me. Strange? After some trial and error, I started talking to the same manager most times I was in there, I found a great SA who is always calling me about stuff she thinks I might like. Bottom line, they should treat everyone who comes in the door with the same respect, and if you feel slighted ask to speak to a manager.

It would be an interesting experiment to say the least...

haha so im weird...when i KNOW im going to purchase a lot from any high end store (coach, gucci or niemans) i purposely dress like a total slob...full on sweats with flip flops

I get SUCH a kick out of them going from who does she think she is dressing like THAT in here...to OMG i cant believe she just bought all that! Its so much fun! haha its fun...but it doesnt work with the observant SAs...ussally ill see them scope out the brand of my sweats (prob BCBG) and my bag (ive been wearing out my Gucci "chain" like no other) and my watch, earrings etc....
:(

but when it works, boy oh boy i have fun! :)

I love feeling like oh i might make them treat "slobs" a little bit better because maybe, just maybe they will remember me as the slob that actually bought a lot....haha :) i doubt it works but whatever i gotta have my fellow slobs back!

they're just bratty at that store it sounds like. I go into the store by my house a lot - suburbs of Dallas/Fort Worth (at an outdoor shopping center with high end restaurants and stores, Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrell, Cheesecake Facotry, Anthropologie, etc), quite often I've been in a tee shirt and shorts, even sometimes carrying a Michael Kors bag that I carry a lot, and the girls there are always super nice to everyone.

Poo on those girls at Providence Place! Try another Coach store (maybe up in Mass? I haven't lived there in a while, but I'm sure there has got to be a coach store in SE Mass without having to go up to Natick or Boston)

I'm so sorry they treated you like that. It shouldn't matter what you were wearing or carrying. They should treat everyone with respect
Hey just curious which mall do you go to that is outdoors? I go to either Northpark or Frisco, and that sounds nice!

It really would be... This story has nothing to do with Coach, but it has the same scenario...

A few years ago my parents went out shopping on a Saturday <~ who puts a gown and tux on to go shopping... on a Saturday... lol... Anyway, they stopped by the Men's Warehouse to look for a nice business suit for my dad. My parents were in warm-ups, btw. You know how whenever you walk into a department store, they always bombard you with 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 reasons why you should have their credit card? Well, that happened to my mom and dad... So, my dad filled it out just to get the sales person off his back. When my dad found a suit that he liked (not a single SA helped him find it btw), he asked one of the ladies there if he could try it on. She flat out, to his face, told him "Sir, I'm not sure you can afford that." <~ what a WITCH!!! :wtf: My dad was SO PO'd, he gave the suit back to her, and he gave her a piece of his mind too... Yeah, AND she totally felt like crap when she found out how much my dad's annual salary income was (which is quite a bit)... LOL!!! Stupid lady!!!

Anyway, just thought I'd share that with everybody... totally random... I know!!!

M.

Oh yeah, by the way, finzup... congrats on your purchase! Hope you enjoy it, and you MUST post pics when it arrives...

Sorry for the bad experiences, any boutique I go in they are always so nice! Of course I am in the south and pretty much everyone is nice to the point of annoying LOL (well I am from chicago that's why :))
