Basically Coach wants to elevate the brand and align it more closely with traditional luxury brands and not the "affordable luxury" category Coach created. ONE of the ways to do that is to produce items in very limited quantities, meaning if you have an effective sales associate they can work with you to make sure you get the items without an issue. It's the same for many other traditional luxury brands. Hope that helps to clarify what I was trying to say :)

We know Coach math never adds up. But I agree about having an effective SA (or a great SA who knows what they are doing). Both my SAs at Coach and LV keep me posted on upcoming release. They reserve items and notify me when available to order.

Received my Swagger Wristlet today and I love it. I've attached a couple of pics.

It also comes with a long strap so you can wear it as a small crossbody bag--nice surprise for me. On the inside, there's a small side pocket. I think I may end up using this as a cosmetic bag as well, just remove all straps. I apologize for the blurry pics.

Thanks for your response.

Again, my point is... why have a release date? You can have limited edition items and do the very same thing with your actual reported release date.

This approach has simply just turned me off to the entire Baseman collection and anything "limited edition" that Coach may develop. Although MAC (cosmetics) allows for pre-orders on new collections, the entire collection never sells out before the release date. Perhaps the items sell out quickly once they go live but there are always items available on launch day.

Perhaps it is just me being nothing more than a Negative Nancy, nevertheless, this is my perspective. To each his own, I say.
