I was told April or May for the leather monster fobs by 3 different reps at JAX. (of course each one gave a different answer lol :p) I had a preorder for the leather bunny fob as part of my preorder for the tote and they cancelled the fob part of the order. Luckily I had put in a separate order for the metal bunny fob, which ended up shipping December 29. But the metal bunny fob is way to small to use with the totes. At some point I am going to have to get a leather one. :cool:

Wow, that seems really late for the leather fobs. I wonder if they're releasing the collection in waves?

I have no idea if there will be other waves of baseman stuff, but the fobs were supposed to release earlier with the bags. At least that was the case when I placed my preorder a couple of months ago.

When I called CS the first time, they said the fobs were sold out. But then everyone on here said they weren't released yet. So when I called yesterday to check on my metal fob order, I asked about the leather ones and she told me Feb 1 st availability for those. So confusing!

Also, I went to my local store and asked about the collection. They had no idea what I was talking about, LOL.

feb 1 is the official wide release date for the purses, but I don't think the leather fobs are part of that. I think no one over at Coach knows what they are talking about release date wise for the fobs. I am going to probably give up and not get one. The graphics on the bag are so large, and the fob is the exact same picture, I don't even think it will look good with my bag frankly.

Yeah it is all really confusing! I want a leather fob because I can't afford the totes and I am a fan of his art. I'm grateful they are offering them as a more affordable option :)

I am big fan of Baseman's art too. :smile1::cool: Luckily I have a really cool fob from the Baseman harvey's seat belt collection that looks good with my tote. :cool:

Am I the only one that thinks it is not fair for Coach to allow folks to preorder items to the point of selling out... behind the scenes nonetheless... before the collection is even released? Why even have a release date if it is meaningless? :thinkin:

As is the case for most luxury brands/ designers, items are produced in limited quantity to create demand and reinforce the fact that items are not being produced in quantities they once were (as is the case for Coach) so it is by design that items sell out at the time of release or in some cases before the release (same for the Snoopy collection). HOWEVER, working with your preferred sales associate gets you around this because they can let you know when products are coming out, products that they think you'd be interested in, and they can place that order for you prior to product(s) being posted online.

This seems like a lousy way to run a business if you are trying to attract new customers. If Coach thinks it gives their brand cachet, they aren't noticing all the buyers that are so disappointed that they missed out, that they go to another brand.

Not all of us have an SA that knows how to find things before they are released. I've missed out on preordering things because the SAs in my area always insist they aren't available. Even when I tell them exactly what I want, they don't call me when it becomes available to order.

Agree about some Coach SAs. I tried to find one in a couple areas last fall, and the Coach SAs I met in a couple stores knew less about the current lines than the Bloomingdale's and Macy's SAs.
