Coach Returns Policy

I'm sorry you are going through this runaround.
This happened to me as well and any time a FP store offers to ship your FOS item back to Jax as if they are doing you a favor it's not true - as of yet at least. The assistant manager at my FP store lied and said it was because they couldn't pull up the sale on their computer because it was an outlet item. The CS for FOS said it was a new policy, also not true. Keep in mind there are 2 CS numbers, one for FOS and another for Coach. When I called CS for Coach (1-888-262-6224), she called my FP store, and since the bag hadn't shipped out yet, made sure I'd get the return processed in-store with only 2-3 day wait time at most for weekends - all I had to do was call the lying SA with my original credit card number. Miraculously she was able to pull up the sale on her computer this time, process the return and email me a copy of the transaction receipt. If the bag had shipped, I would have had to wait til it reached Jax but the CS would have made sure that store would be dinged for a complaint and mis-information.
Ugh, thanks for sympathizing... I called the number from the top of my invoice, ends in 3611, so it wasn't a help. Also because I waited too long after the actual return date, so they wouldn't have been able to help much. The 3611 CS person I talked to yesterday said that they would handle "educating" the store on the policies.

I just found out that Coach is changing their return policy. They are cutting it from 60 days to 30 days. And though I wasn't given a specific date, the new receipt tape is in, so it might be as early as next week.

Ugh, I really don't like this. I was fine with the switch to 60 days but 30 is going to make me less likely to buy. Outlet is almost 2hrs away so I always have to really plan those trips out. With 2 soon to be 3 young kids, 30 days is barely enough time to get to my local boutique. Plus I do like to think over some of the larger purchases and pair them with my wardrobe before cutting tags. I try to not impulse buy bags now that the ones I love are averaging $1000 each.

I hear ya. I like to ponder a bit, try with my wardrobe and look at them at home with my other handbags to see if they fit in. 60 was ok...

One of my friends asked a FP Store Manager about this today. He said FP was remaining a 60 day, Outlet is moving to 30 days. I am not sure that makes sense - but that is what she was told. If they do have different return policies that could be a bit confusing....

No, both the store and CS (at the 800-number) said they can't process the returns right away. They have to mail the bag back to Jacksonville or wherever from the store, and then credit my account when Jacksonville receives it? So all I have is an invoice with a stamp on it.

I just wanted to check here if it's normal to have to wait this long, or if I should call my cc company/CS again.

I dont think thats true.

I returned a FOS purchase to my local store and I had a receipt for the return and the money in my account in 48 hrs.

Considering some outlets don't have return policies at all or only let you do store credit, it's not that bad

C'mon guys, 30 days is plenty of time to know if you wanna keep something! This will help the brand by restricting returns from those who abuse the policy!

Agreed- 30 days is pretty good compared to MK. His sale items are "final sale, no returns" & the outlet will give you store credit if you return within so many days. It's a good way to make sure they don't lose money from excessive returns.

Thanks! I called again and the person said that I should see a credit by the end of this week. She did say that the store didn't follow procedure, and that I should have received a tracking number at the very least. Apparently the store was within its rights to send the bag back, but she also said that they 'could have' done an instant refund.

But since I don't have a tracking number, they can't tell me where the bag is, obviously. Fingers crossed that it didn't go to the wrong department like yours did! UGH, I may be heading to an outlet store in the next week or so... would've been quicker just to wait and take it back myself, but I never thought it would take ~3 weeks (or a month, in your case) for a refund!

Any luck with your credit coming through? I really hope it has!!! [emoji3]
