Post a picture of the piping and maybe we can offer some suggestions. I also hate worn piping, and I'm not very fond of bad corner wear, either!

Will do tonight! I stay away from any bags I don't think will be perfect so I pay more now and that's okay. This one happened to be what it is. At least I ended up paying half price for.

Well, at least the plastic piping is dark and it isn't sticking out of the bag. It's really annoying when an ugly white piece of place is hanging out of a dark bag.

I would rehab the bag as usual, probably giving it a bath and shaping it while it dries. If there are any stray rough fragments of leather around the damage I would try to trim or minimize them. Then I would treat the area with fabric fusion to try and stabilize it. Finally I would use puff paint to do my best to cover the damaged area. Good luck!

If you are tired of fighting with leather and want to try a different kind of rehab, a solid perfume hangtag charm is on sale on ebay for $8 plus shipping. I rehabbed one of these exact same fobs several years ago and refilled it with perfume - and it was pretty easy!

Below is the link to the charm on ebay and also to details about my rehab project.

This is interesting. However, I lean towards brass hardware.
*off Googling for brass tone version of this*

Here is a project if you want to try your hand at dyeing or just working with a white bag.
Only $5 plus shipping.

Maybe a good project for trying out zit cream.
Oooooh, in the style of the Light Tote, one of my favs!! And tempting, as I have had more than my fair share of luck rehabbing a few light color bags. Sigh. After looking at my rehab pile, and storage issues, lol, I will pass on this. Today. I can only hope someone has bought it by tomorrow lol. Make that this afternoon.

Well, I pulled the trigger! I'll try homemade lip balm in it.

I've been working on this Made in China 11640 today. Machine washed on "eco warm". I just may have set the ink stains. The lining was filthy. This is what's left for stains. Exterior leather is dreamy. Luckily, I had a replacement hangtag. I'm a sucker for this lining.
I tried in this order. 91% rubbing alcohol with a q-tip. Angelus dry cleaner and spot remover with a q-tip and an old sonicare toothbrush. And finally acetone on a white washcloth.

I've gotten ink out of that type of lining using Soilove.

ETA: Now I'm going to have to get my Ergo out. Such a great bag!
