This is my trail bag, which has been dunked and conditioned. My problem binding kind of curling underneath the bag causing the bulge. This was one of my first rehabs so I didn't put anything inside to help it keep it's shape while drying. Is there any way to fix this without dunking it again?

I want to cry. I just received my dowel bag today and it's my own fault not putting it in a safe place. My 6 yrs old son decided to relocate it for whatever reason right after eating some oily fried chicken. :crybaby:It's got oily hand print on it where he touched. I immediately used lotion leather cleaner and then dunked it in dawn bath and washed it. I'm so afraid the oil will still show when it dries! Whaaa! What do I do when it dries and stul shows? Oil the whole thing to match?

Another question about a different bag: Does anyone know if the leather flap on signature bleecker bags are vachetta leather?

The whole bag was dirty looking than pictured so I washed it without thinking at all. I never saw the original description of it by Coach so any information will be helpful. But I think some listers had Vachetta in description. Did I ruin the leather by washing it?

I don't think the Bleekers are vachetta. Sometimes the creed will specifically say vachetta if it is vachetta. As long as the white is still white, I think you are ok.

Some people have had luck sprinkling cornstarch on the bag and using heat (like a warm compress) on oils to draw them out. Since you got to it fast, it might be fine.

I didn't have cornstarch so I went for the next best starch I could think of at first. I used regular flour and I don't think it made a difference since I didn't know about using heat. Then I dunked it.

Hi ladies, any advice on how to care for embossed leather? I recently purchased a croc embossed swagger, and I have no idea how to clean it. Can I use Coach cleaner and conditioner on it since it is still cow leather or do I treat it like "exotic" leather? I couldn't find answers in my search of the forum. Thanks!

I have an older Croc Embossed Maggie. I treat is just like regular leather. It is really no different than regular cow leather. They just use stamping to make it embossed to look like croc. I use regular conditioner on it. (I've never found the need for any type of cleaner for it. Mine is black and still looks great after all these years with just regular conditioning.) If you bought it new, it should include a care card for how to care for it.
