I don't use Leather Therapy so I don't know if it stains. It is possible that if you wait awhile, it will soak in and you won't be able to see it. I would wait a week or two.
I have used it before but all over the purse/wallet, darkens it a bit so if brown the color gets richer. I will follow your advice and wait for a few days. I do not really want to put it in a bath just for that. Thanks!

View attachment 3425773 Hi!
Has anyone any idea how I might be able to fix this / make it look better?
It was an eBay find and I knew it had the damage
I tried to wipe the black off the white but was a bit too aggressive and made it worse lol
The black didn't bleed onto the white. What you are seeing is the print underneath. You can't clean it; you can only paint over it. Either acrylic craft paint or fabric puff paint, depending on which covers best and has the right sheen.

Would leather cement + acrylic paint work? There is not much left to pinch together.
This is the Bulga bag I'm doing for a friend.
Any ideas? Maybe just paint the plastic black at least?
Probably. Paint by itself isn't a good idea. The tear could continue to get bigger. Either leather cement or puff paint to cover and then acrylic paint over the top.

I see E6000 has black available. Would this be a good option?

I assume I need to pinch the leather as close together as I can and then glue, smooth and cover? Or am I just going to try to cover the spread and glue the remaining leather to the plastic piping?

Hello ladies,

First thanks again for the tip on..."be patient", LOL. The darker area faded away and nothing else was necessary to be done.
Now I need advice from those of you with expertise in vintage bags and all the different leathers, fabrics, etc.... I would love to clean this nubuc backpack, (love the color), it is overall OK but with some darker areas like on the top handle, the back bottom and corners. Should I try to spot clean (with what?), or dunk it? Will the blue liner bleed? So far I only tried the suede eraser and brushing and it made no difference.
The one shown could be denim transfer, but the handle and corners are just dirty I believe. TIA

I've dunked these. The lining can bleed but I believe it is only a problem if it touches the leather while it is wet. If you pull it out and prop it away from the leather until it dries, it should be fine. Brush the nubuck with a fingernail brush as it dries. I haven't had much luck getting nubuck to look any better after rehabbing than before. Some of those darker areas might just be that the surface has worn down rather than actual stains.

Thank you for the reply. I decided to give it the bath, but first I tried some Kiwi suede cleaner on that darker area, and "seemed" to help, then the bath. The liner was no problem, no bleeding and overall it looks better, BUT now there is a ring on the area I sprayed the cleaner, I don't know why if I put the bag in water right after.
So now again I need advice, how I get rid of the ring? More water, vinegar?

I hate Kiwi suede cleaner! I had the same thing happen! I can't remember if I ever got it to go away. I don't think it had anything to do with you putting it in water directly afterward. I think it might have alcohol in it. Your guess is as good as mine as to what will remove it. Did you try brushing it?
