I wonder why it was removed. Was that the listing from station_85?

Regarding SheriDahlin's comment about not showing creed pics, there are several experienced Coach sellers I've found on Ebay, Bonanza and Etsy who have been known to mix fakes and authentic items. (IMO) they purposely avoid showing pictures on items that they aren't sure are authentic.

Those sellers seem to know exactly what they're doing.

Sorry about the OT rant.

ETA: Hmm. The listing wasn't removed. Yup, I had the correct seller.

yeah BB you got the right seller ! There have been many discussions of them NOT showing the CREED pics. They purposely avoid pics-even on genuine bags. Clear polish my butt...I'm dying to see if buyer returns that POS. Filthy inside too..
And yeah, I'm a little envious that I have to spend so much time rehabbing &wear out my fingers to get that kind of money! I'm guessing ? seller was surprised at the price. Another TPF'er I was chatting with about that bag, thought it must be a scam, but the winning bidder isn't a newbie so..

What do I know? I'm 50-somethin'..LOL! Check out the seller ElectricSkinny- EVERYTHING they sell commands BIG bucks because they are young & HIP. I remember they listed a Legacy zip or something similar -Not clean-Sold it for nearly 300 smackers.
Ooops I don't know what thread we are on-so if this is OT I apologize,...Where are we? :panic::panic:

I had trouble finding it from that link. The link I posted in the Chat thread works.

I just read the description. The bag was given a clear polish to preserve the damage.

"Preserve" the damage? LOL! She describes it as "good used condition" and that the damage "actually enhances the look of the bag."

Enhances my foot!

Hello Everyone

My friend owns this Coach Ashley leather Hippie bag (MFF 2013).
She'd like to rehab it and I offered to help.

Does anyone have any experience rehabbing this style bag?
Can it withstand the usual procedure - soaked in Dawn, then conditioned with Leather Therapy & Blackrock?

There's also damage to the snakeskin-like leather trim/accent, not sure how to approach that....

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
TIA from both of us!

I don't know if the trim will hold up to a bath. Usually with this type of bag, I'll pull out the lining and wash it thoroughly with soap and water, rinsing thoroughly. I try to keep the leather out of the water. If it gets splashed, it should be okay. Just dry it off before it gets soaked or you could get water lines. Then you would have to dunk it. For the exterior you can use the regular conditioners. I've had excellent results with Leather Refinisher to restore the color on these types of bags. Usually I'll mix it with conditioner and apply it all over the leather. If any spots remain, I'll attack those with the Leather Refinisher full strength. I would be very careful with the embossed snakeskin. You might be able to use Leather Refinisher to dab in black on all the spots that got rubbed away, replicating the pattern. Once I got that part looking good, I'd paint it with acrylic gloss varnish.

Hi whatever - is this the product you're talking about?
Just checking, will be my first time using it.

Yes. You don't need the pre-treatment. All you'll need the 1 ounce sample bottle. It is plenty for what you need it for. I use it for all kinds of things and the 1 ounce bottle lasts through many rehabs.
