Fun fix...crappy turnlocks. I also added a top handle! Details HERE

Awesome job.

I love Obenaufs LP. The oil can get rancid...learned the hard way. I used leather therapy on a nubuck duffle and a large flap. You have to apply it very evenly and it takes about a week to dry but the results are amazing. I buffed mine with a dry terry cloth to bring up the nap. (knap?)

Thanks for the tip on Leather Therapy. I accidentally applied it to a small suede patch on a Fossil patchwork bag and it didn't seem to hurt it, in fact it looked all the better for it. I will use it with confidence on Coach nubuc in the future.

Last month it was navy, this month it's black! Finished these yesterday. Slim Duffel Sac 9060 (huge bag), City Bag 9790, NYC Companion Bag 9300, and Sonoma Small Bucket Natural Grain 4907.

I haven't quite finished the City Bag as it needs repair to the strap as stitching had come undone, and I discovered the strap keeper is missing.

Would someone please post a pic of a strap keeper of a City Bag as I will have to make one.

You've been busy!
The strap keeper goes through a slot on the back of the strap. I hope these pictures help. Let me know if you need more.

Aren't the 9060s AWESOME! They are so easy to wear against the body.

If you have a trashed court bag, the handle holders make great strap keepers. I've also bought cheap leather belts at thrift to use the strap keepers from those.

Wow!! Once again, beautiful work :smile1:
Thanks Frenchie

They look great! You made them all look brand new. Gorgeous!

This is a little OT, but, since I know some of you out there have made tassels out of junked bags. I'm wondering if anyone has made poofs or anything similar out of old fur stoles or jackets?

PS: Here's a picture of newest aquisition to keep on topic. A Pocket Bag from 1990 I believe. And a classic pouch I'm still working on .

Interesting concept re the jackets and stoles. I guess it's possible to re-engineer anything if you have the skills. Love to see a furry poof if you make one!

Nice find with the Pocket Purse. Is it taupe? Did you find a strap for the Classic Pouch?

The pocket bag is putty too. They are closer in color than the pictures show. I think as I continue to work on the classic pouch it will darken just a bit more and the strap from the pocket bag will work with it.

I will post pictures of the poof if I find a stole to use, or I may ask s friend of mine for scraps from the jackets she's sending off to have teddy bears made out of. I think it would work.
