Thanks for all of your inspiration so far everyone! Next I have to tackle the bottom back corner. The piping is worn through, so I think I'm going to try some gel medium to patch it. She is still soaking up the CPR immediately, so I'm guessing she still needs a bit more before her coat of Blackrock's?
Gorgeous--you did a wonderful job with her!

I need help ladies I bought these boots and do not know what to clean them with ! The coach cleaner ruined the leather on the back already , they're gorgeous boots and I just want to care for them properly !View attachment 2384902
Is the back suede? I've never found a suede cleaner that works very well. What works best for me is a suede brush or fine steel wool or sandpaper. For the smooth leather, you can probably use any leather conditioner. I spray all my boots before I wear them with a waterproofer. It makes it much easier to clean them later if necessary.

My Black Rock finally arrived. Wow what amazing stuff! After a few days sunbathing in some glorious spring weather, it was just what my Vista needed to finish her off! She's not perfect but I'm happy with her now all the disgusting dye and paint has gone.

Black Rock really makes a difference. It adds a subtle mellow glow. I can't wait to try it on some other bags. I wish I'd ordered more.

I bought this Soft Satchel from the Lightweight Collection and she was beautiful right out of the package but had been stored all bent to one side and squashed flat. She would not stand up or hold her shape so I gave her a quick soak to plump the leather up and remove some of the soil from the rolled handles...otherwise, this bag is in amazingly wonderful shape to be from 1989 or early 1990's.

Now, all dry and conditioned with two coats of Leather CPR, I notice the zipper looks a little...hmmm, what are the accurate words to describe...rippled maybe? Stretched out? Wavy? Is there any remedy for this?

This is one beautiful Coach bag...I was pleasantly surprised with just how lovely she is and the wine color is so rich and deep. The rolled handles aren't as stiff as ones on a couple of my newer satchels but I guess that's to be expected...but they're still holding their shape. All that's left to do is a tiny bit of polish on the brass hardware.

I always forget to take before pictures...this baby came straight out of the box and into the sink. LOL Oh my gosh...look at the awful background in my pictures.

Twins! This is one of my very favorite vintage styles! I have her in this color and also in blue but the blue is very faded. I think the zippers Coach used on these aren't as good as most Coach zippers. I had one go off track and when I got ready to take her in for repair, the zipper magically fixed itself! Still every time I use the zippers on these, I'm afraid. Mine look ripply like that.

She's looking great! I'm almost done with her black sister.

Black rocks is some magical stuff! It goes a long way so you shouldn't be needing any more for awhile.

She is absolutely beautiful. You did a wonderful job restoring her to her natural beauty.

I love the wine color. I think there is just something very classy about that color. Congrats on just a wonderful bag!

Soooo much better without the elephant :) Beautiful job...I'd keep conditioning until you're happy with the "smooshi-ness" of the leather. I usually do 2 rounds of Blackrocks with a day of resting in between. Good luck and show us your end result!

That's the best looking navy blue courier I've seen. Great job. Why anyone would stick a sparkly elephant on it is beyond me....

Blackrocks...ROCKS! The way it makes Coach leather glow is simply wonderful! Congratulations on a great rehab.

I love it when a bag stands up straight after a bath! The color is fabulous...in over 10 years of collecting, I've still not found a burgundy bag...yet. I wish I had advice for your zipper...maybe the previous owner just overstuffed the bag and stretched it out. Beautiful rehab.

Thanks Whateve. Please post pics of your black Vista when you've done I bet she'll look stunning.
I will! She's almost done but still a little wet inside. I rubbed some black paint diluted with conditioner along the sides of the strap and it looks fabulous! I wish I had thought to do this on other rehabs.
