I definitely will! The first results were so good that I ordered their foaming Furniture Clinic Leather Cleaner, which directions say to use between applications of the Leather Degreaser. I didn’t do that step. After two applications of the degreaser, it’s definitely good enough now to Blackrock and leave a light patina. But I’m too curious to see if I can get the last bits off by following the instructions to the letter! Will post again after one more go.

ETA: But here’s a photo after 2 apps of degreaser, while bag is still drying.
Amazing results! I'm buying a jar, the British Tan Murphy bag I'm working on has some stains that didn't budge with dunking and cpr.

Oh my gosh! It looks so good after two applications, I can’t even see where the spots were at all—I had to go back and look at the original photo! I’m a believer. Definitely going to purchase and see if it helps my belt

A couple of tips — Product should be wet jelly when you get it. If it’s drier, it’s old/unsealed. It needs to be stirred well each time. I use the back end of a paint brush. And make sure you open a window!

I followed directions to letter this time including using their brand of foaming cleaner in between apps and vacuuming in addition to brushing dried powder off. I do think it makes the outcome even better. (Will post when redunked bag is dry.)

I’ve been working on Camel from 2000 and have seen only slight lightening around the stains, which may be more down to how dirty this poor old bag truly was. But I’d recommend going cautiously on deeper pigments. This stuff is strong! Paint carefully onto just the stain and maybe don’t let it stand longer than it takes to dry to the powder. (The instructions acknowledge there can be color loss, which they recommend restoring with their recolorant balm). Hope it works for you!!

What a good day I had. Today's my birthday and I'm not really celebrating, but I decided to pop into the thrift store just to see if they had anything neat or really weird I could treat myself to. Back in September I posted the red 70's Coach Basic Bag I found at that same store, and I never expected to score like that again but I nearly fainted when I strolled through the handbag section today. I found ANOTHER ONE of the same era and style, for $5 cheaper than the first. Instant buy! I am now convinced that God actually does love me 😂

She's in gorgeous shape, only needs a bath and some conditioner. At first I thought it was black but now I'm starting to think it's navy...? Anyway, absolutely geeked and I can't wait to rehab her 🥰

Wow!! That is an amazing birthday! Enjoy! 🥳

Hello, I have this bag from my mom that I am hoping to restore. I have never attempted to rehab a bag before but from my deep dive I am worried that this is mold. How can I tell for sure? Is it possible to remove it, if so how? And any other tips on moving forward with the rehab would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if that is mold or not but I would soak a cotton ball with white vinegar and wipe it down as soon as possible. Does it smell musty?

You're getting very good at those corners!
Thanks! I've got my process of layers. Sanding. (fine grit sandpaper). Angelus filler. Sanding. More Angelus filler. Sanding. Repeat until I like how it looks. Then I top with a coloring smear of black EdgeKote on my fingertip. (Shiny). Then I top that with black leather dye. (remove shiny).

Yes, such a great job on the corners. She’s beautiful again now. Thanks for sharing your process (before we all started asking 🤣)!

I sort of like using black Edgekote as a coloring agent here, probably not a necessary part of this. However, it adds an extra smoothness and absolutely covers up the white (angelus product).
