I just used a little of this along the piping on mine. Made a big difference. They're calling it "scuff cover" but it has the same ingredients as what they call "leather dye." Kiwi makes a lot of waxy polish products in round tins which I do not want to use on a purse, I believe these are dye, and not polish.

I’ve always been gun-shy about using acrylics based products, but you seem to get great results!

Hi all

I've never had a bag with shoe polish to remove on it.... until now? Does this bag look like it? I don't have it in hand yet, so haven't used the feel-method of discovery. But the surface looks kind of streaky and weird. I believe this is an Austin Bag, and I plan on rehab. I think it's sexy.

It looks like it to me, or it could be some kind of paint. Looks almost like rubber.

I used this stuff for my saddle bag.
Use in we ventilated area and don't rub too hard.
It's supposed to remove polish.Screenshot_20241114-152214_Chrome.jpg

It doesn't seem like shoe polish. It's actually a REALLY beautiful bag. I got a good deal. $59. So far, dunked and leather CPR'd.
I hope it's not shoe polish! I've been spending the last few days painfully removing shoe polish from a court bag. It's a navy court bag but they used black shoe polish. I use straight acetone to remove and did it in stages. Unfortunately, whatever they used had glitter or shimmers in it.. dunking doesn't seem to remove the glitters. sigh.

Hi, all, have any of you used either 1) Angelus Repair Filler or 2) Drtluz Leather Recoloring Balm? Descriptions are below. I’m wondering whether they really work for filling scratches and holes in leather. It sounds like the Angelus product dries white or colorless, because they mention it can be painted or dyed. There is no mention of dying or painting for the Drtluz product.

1) LEATHER CRACK REPAIR:
From Angelus description:
“Angelus repair filler is perfect for repairing minor holes & scratches in smooth leather. Perfect for seamless repairs
“FLEXIBLE & PAINTABLE: Our Leather Crack repair filler is flexible and paintable. Not like our competitors, ours will take on your leather dye or angelus paint for a perfect color match. It also will stay flexible with the leather.
“USED FOR: It can be used for countless things like repairing couch holes, Cat Scratches, Fixes holes in shoes, midsoles, chairs, burn holes, car seats, cigarette burns, & so much more.
“WORKS ON: Our small hole filling paste works on Leather, Vinyl, Patent Leather, Vegan Leather, Foam, Bonded Leather, Pleather, & More!”

2) Drtluz Leather Recoloring Balm:
From product description:
“Revitalize your cherished leather items with our advanced formula, designed to deeply penetrate leather surfaces to repair cracks, restore elasticity, and renew original texture. Leather balm seamlessly fills imperfections, giving your leather a like-new look and feel.”

what is the feel method for shoe polish?
It looks like a straight coat of angelus paint to me. Most bag rehabbers that use leather paint, mix it with CPR for a light coat.

I'd like to hear your approach to stripping this and how to restore it back.

Hi! I decided it wasn't shoe polish and I used a standard rehab. I think it looks pretty good. Maybe a little shiny.
