Hi everyone ! I purchased a tea rose rogue that the fixed handle had come off. I am pretty sure it is an easy fix, but wondering if I should just do it myself or send it in to Coach to be repaired? I know I will have to get new rivets, but I think that should be it. Anyone had any experience with this type issue ? Thanks so much !
I'd probably send it to Coach.

Hi! I just got this vintage Ergo from eBay. The bag is in great condition but has a musty smell like it was in storage for a while and seems slightly dirty on the exterior. I want to clean it so it looks and smells refreshed. I've never washed a vintage Coach before, but was wondering if this bag would be safe to dunk and then condition with Coach moisturizer at home? Or should I take it to Coach for cleaning? I'm worried about cleaning it myself because of the light/unusual purple color of the leather and my lack of experience. Thanks!

You can dunk this bag. I would start treatments of Leather CPR while bag is still wet and do additional treatments as it dries. Stuff and shape the bag so it will dry with a nice shape. These lighter bags sometimes need additional help with color loss but I’d start with that and see if you’re happy with the result.

I found this at a thrift and it was SO beat up and stained that the store offered me a 30% discount! Just out of the bath and looks like most of the stains have disappeared. Maybe they were just water marks... I love this bag. It's not vintage, but it's cool. The quality of the leather is amazing.

Lovely. I'm curious about this dunk - how did the lining fare/behave? Any issues there?

The lining looks good, no problems there, but will need some more cleaning. The exterior, great! I've already "CPR'd" it a couple times, and it's still damp. The only issue I'm noticing is cracking along the top leather edge where it folds inward. Still mulling what to do there beyond the cpr, etc.

Thanks!

Do I see dry rot???
yeah the description even says the handle is dry rotted. I posted that more as a joke. Although, I have to admit I've seen some pretty stunning rehabs of some nasty bags on this thread! But this one is too far gone, plus he wants $90 for it! It is worth maybe $20 for the hardware at most. I think this is the "Musette" bag.
