I'm having a hard time replying, quoting and posting in a cohesive manner in the past 24 hours on tpf. I'm trying to respond to @LadaZuri and it's not working. Sorry that my posts come across as vague or even if they're being posting.. Weird stuff happening on this site.

I was having problems also after the site were down for a day and they lost files due to corruption as described in the message below. I had to log out, update Google Chrome, and then log back in to the PurseForum - and that worked for me, I haven't had any more problems.

"...our forum suffered a corruption of a table that lead to a cascading effect and required our host to roll back to a snapshot from the day before. Unfortunately all posts and PMs from Wednesday were lost in this corruption. So sorry for this inconvenience, if you have any questions, please post them in this thread."

Thanks Katev! I didn’t think to log out and login again. Things seem to be working better now.

Me, too!!! :panic::lol:
There was a longer post to that! Ugh! I went back to edit a couple things and all that was left of my post was that sentence! It was too late last night to retype everything so I changed that message to nothing.

With only that sentence in the post, I sound so exclusionary! Totally not my intent! I will retype later!

What is mean when you say color refreshing as opposed to dunking? Just a good clean with CPR?

Good question, @lburrhead84! Colour refreshing comes after dunking and entails mixing a tiny amount of acrylic paint with lots of CPR to return colour to faded or stained bag. If you do a search of colour (or color) refreshing in this thread you'll find many posts detailing the process. :tup:

It's a method that restores color back into the leather using either certain types of dyes (water based, oil based or alcohol based) or paints (such as acrylic or leather). You mix the paint with CPR and then apply it to the leather. There have been many posts about this and many people here have great expertise at it - try a search.. I'd post a link but there are so many great posts I don't know which to choose!

Ahh ok thank you! I have done this on the edges but didn’t realize you could do it all over the bag! Good to know!

Has anyone tried the Saphir Renovating Cream Recolorant to refresh badly faded color? I wonder what rehab pros here think of it.

I am missing a tiny brass screw from the turnlock plate on a Legacy Leather Shoulder Flap 11134, see pic below. I see that the Buckleguy sells tiny brass screws but they come in various sizes and I am clueless about the appropriate size. Or perhaps if I took it to a shoe repair he might have the right size screw?

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions for replacing missing screws on Coach bags? TIA!

Eye glass screws!

I'm calling this one "bad shape bag." Scratches, gouges, and some kind of surface paint. Tthis is a practice rehab bag to see what I can do. It's an Italian Pierre bag, #4406. Advice on rehab gratefully accepted. so far, I dunked it and pretty much scrubbed off the acrylic? paint that was on there.

I've decided to dye it black, as the bag dried, I see there's lots of color loss. I'm contemplating tea rose appliques to cover the worst gouges. Anyone know a purchase source for those?

The most beautiful tea roses I've seen were made by @LunaSilver, but I don't know if she's currently making them.
