WOW! What an amazing rehab! My first official "rehab" in progress. I washed, conditioned overall, conditioned with mixed in black acrylic for the edges, shined up the brass elements, and used some of that "blackrock" product. I think one more shining up with blackrock, and I'll call it good. It's a handsome bag. I was shocked how well that brasso works! That last pic is before I started.

BEAUTIFUL! Enjoy!Finished my original Rambler a few days ago!
As usual I didn’t take many before photos, but I’m really pleased with the leather repairs I did on this one - it had a damaged corner where the flap attaches to the bag at the back, and several cracks in the strap (both large and spiderwebby). I can barely see either now

It's gorgeous!I felt like I really needed a rehab win after my jade bag tragedy. I had purchased the products @MrsGAM suggested for my Periwinkle Winnie but I still wasn’t too confident that I’d get a good color match mixing it myself. But I gave it a try and I’m so happy with how it’s coming along!!
I never thought I’d be able to fix the damage. I can’t thank you enough @MrsGAM!!!

i was planning on getting some precise measurements on each color I used for the combination, but I just lost myself in trying to match it
Definitely the major color in the mix is the saphir blue jean creme surfine, followed by the angelus leather paint in purple. I used a small drop of the saphir eggshell creme renovatrice at the beginning and didn’t add more throughout the mixing. And I also added a drop of the angelus taupe and that made it quite brown, which led me to add more of the blue Jean and purple. And at one point I thought it was too light so I did add another drop of the taupe but I again had to add more blue Jean and purple, so I’m not sure if the taupe is totally necessary. For the purple I added around 5 drops (just dipped the brush into the paint and let it drip) throughout the entire mixing process. I did make only a small amount since i only needed to touch up on some piping.
The only thing I would’ve done different was waiting until it was perfectly matched to add the CPR since the CPR tends to lighten the mix, but regardless I think it came out good!
Finally a bit of rehab positivityI swear that jade bag had me ill lol

I found that I definitely needed the taupe color, though I probably could have used a dark gray instead. The blue jean and purple ended up being too bright of a hue and needed the gray to darken it a little. Your periwinkle looks brighter than mine, though, so maybe you didn't really need it![]()
Here's my Geometric Bag in natural light by a window this morning. The stunning orange colour is not accurately represented here, but it's the lightening spots I wanted to show... they are fainter still!I am hopeful they will disappear all together, but am happy with how she looks now.
I will continue to buff her for a few more days, put her hardware back on and post more photos! I LOVE this bag!

PS. She had no visible spots before dunking and conditioning.
The post-dunk spot fairy gave me a visit too. I was working on my grey rambler’s legacy this week & after it dried there were 3 very tiny dark spots on the front flap. I tried to fix them but I made them worse lmao
Now Im looking at pins/studs to do something inspired by coach create to cover up my mess…
I need to learn to leave things alone!
Me too! I got a glacier blue Maggie, looked great just squished. Dunked it like normal, conditioned it with cpr, next day, checked on it and spots, bag was almost totally dry within a 12 hr span so its not mildew and its only on one side. I dunno spot fairy struck again!Post dunk spot fairy has been visiting everyone latelygood luck with your bag!
