I finished my navy Lunchbox! It dried quick so I didn’t get to do as many CPR coats as I wanted. No hangtag but this beautiful blue/red tea rose charm by Lunasilver matches perfectly! Now my only issue is figuring out how to prevent the handle from flopping around. Im thinking a small hand stitch to tighten the loose space in the loops around the brass.

Nice! That looks like one of @LunaSilver tea rose charms! I need to get mine out and take some photos.

My turned out to be navy Rambler is done. While I don’t think this style is going to work for me, for the most part she rehabbed well.

In the before pics you can see why both the seller and I thought it was “sad black” not navy

the strap piping simply will not meet up. It’s like it shrunk so this is as good as it gets

Looks great! I imagine you can cram something in the gap in the handle to keep it stiffer.

That what I did! I had some extra leather from another project that I cut into small pieces and stuffed into the gap of my mahogany and British tan Lunch Boxes. You can see the pieces in this pic of my mahogany:

Thanks! I ended up using a sewing needle to apply contact cement in between the leather & brass where the handle attaches to the bag, it’s a very rubbery bonding glue so it’s now holding the handle in place while still being flexible! Im glad it worked because the floppyness would have drove me nuts lol
