Wow great job! I am amazed that all that paint came off! Do you think it was vacetta under the yellow?
I wasnt sure..I dont own any vacetta bags so have no idea what the feel is. Is not going to be an attractive bag when its dry but better than the yellow.
Might be worth doing some research to determine what color/leather it was based on the model number. Vacetta is pretty finicky and dyeing it a darker brown might be an option to get it looking nicer. Might explain why it was painted to begin with. Vacetta is a love it or hate it kind of thing.
yes I think that why they painted it yellow as it was very dirty and marked underneath the paint. I got it for a project thinking it was yellow.
Very steep learning curve for this one.
I want to thank everyone in this thread for helping me with my Bal Velo. I recieved the Leather CPR-today and WOW! I used my fingers to massage it in as to not waste it (it was expensive to get it shipped to Denmark). It took me almost two hours but oh my, it was so worth it.
I will take a better photo tomorrow in daylight.
Right is after Leather CPR, the middle is during and the left is before.
It completely took away the white shine and the stickyness. Also - very impressive - the stickyness of the handles!
I want to buy 10 of the refill to never run out of this stuff!

Im so glad it worked for you...its really good stuff and we all swear by it.
It will soften the leather nicely as well.
Well guess what guys...my yellow painted bag that I spent the day removing yellow paint...its dryign to a nice yellow colour..it's Camel. ..and its not going to be a pretty bag..

yes...I really dont know why as it was already a yellow bag...there are marks and dirt so maybe they thought painting it would be the thing to do

You should really consider etsy. It's better for handmade items. It'd be easier for your buyers to find you. Fees are often cheaper and buyers don't try to bargain down the price as much.
Ok so I’ve dunked and applied leather cpr. These corners are worn down — ideas on best way to approach them ? Also the handle has some worn spots. I just want to do what will be best for the integrity of the bag. Thanks for any input.
