Quick before and afters of my green Prairie. Very uneventful, the most annoying part was polishing the turnlock. She's from '94 and the turnlock has the protective coating. It's a double-edged sword. As long as the coating stays fully intact it looks great, but once it's scratched up and flaky-looking you have to get the whole layer off to make it look decent. That's what I ended up doing.

Also, is it just me or does it seem like the point of no return (after which you have to use recolorants) is reached earlier for green bags than other colors? The amount of scuffing/rubbing on these edges wouldn't scare me much on a medium brown, but on this green they were almost too far gone, and on my green Mitchell they definitely were. That bag needs a color product. The Prairie is all happy though, here we go!

Wow! Beautiful! The hardware is gleaming!

How are yours going?

Great - I'll post my three I've done as my first dive into this world!

First here is a Coach City bag I got on Posh - there was a case opened as the seller didn't disclose strap damage (long story) but I'm happy overall with my first go at it. The blackrocks is a little sticky still despite my major buffing but I'm hoping that dissipates over time.

Here's my second and third go at it. It's glaringly obvious I need to now locate brasso and start trying to learn how to take off the hardware.

I have no recollection of when I picked this up. I think it was 4 years ago the last time the Coach bug hit me hard and never got touched. I had one failed rehab and gave up hope. I love the court bag so I'm anxious to try this style and see if it fits life. The pen marks on the inside lifted a little but the dark stains on the front exasperated.

The Red Legacy Zip graciously authenticated by Whateve recently (thank you!) had a bad stain on the bottom so it looks MUCH better. I'm glad to test this style and see if it is a good fit for me. The blackrocks is super sticky on this one so I'm hoping the hot weather here will help it settle in.

I also need to learn how to address the stains on the straps from the buckle. Each new bag is a learning opportunity.

Thank you all for your help along the way! ❤️

Nice job. BT is such a tricky beast. I’m impressed that you got the pen stains out. I’d call it a win.

Your bag looks great! Regarding verdigris from the brass buckle, I have had some luck with a dish soap and white Vinegar mix, gently sudsing with a small sponge.
