My British Tan Pocket Purse rehab got completed today. I don’t know if its just me but the bag looks darker than before I dunked it. I did 1 coat of CPR and 1 coat of Renapur. I forgot to remove some pen marks under the flap but Im keeping this bag in my personal collection so not that bothered by them! Also, this bag bled a lot during the dunk and stained my towels but the colour still came out very even.

I feel you. I've been working on a City in *not BT* - maybe Camel or Tabac, and it's just not coming as clean as I want it to be for something I carry every day. I bought it thinking it was going to be more of a yellow bag (here's the link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Vintage-City-Bag-9790-Brown-Leather/153840897162?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649)

And here's how it turned out:

That’s not too bad. Mine was a lot worse. I‘ve posted a couple of photos of it in this thread. Here’s one. The spots were much darker in person than in the picture.24672CC4-DC5F-4DFE-A15A-C94504CF27BE.jpeg

If its seriously flawed or has issues not disclosed, I will open a case. Ive only had to do this once and it was for a Longchamp bag. I was fully refunded. If you open cases make sure to describe the damage well and take pictures of it too. Best case is, you get your money back, worst case is, you will have to keep the bags and try to find a way to fix them. I don’t think Id be happy keeping a bag if I knew the flaws were purposely omitted by the seller- its disappointing and Id rather know upfront what Id be dealing with! Also for poshmark, just remember you only have 3 days to open a case, so don’t wait too long if thats the route you end up taking

eta: the grace I give depends on how noticeable the flaws are and if the seller is being apologetic about it. Your posh seller seems like she knew about the flaw and is now being defensive because you brought it up-I would open a case. As for your Mercari seller- Im not sure tbh. If the missing rivet will bother you then Id ask for a return but if its not too bad, Id probably just keep it.

This is exactly what I ended up doing - the riveted Mercari seller was apologetic and I accepted and moved on.

The Posher went back and forth with me, and the nice part is Posh reviewed the correspondence and decided we were both right - refunded my money, told me to keep the bag, and the seller still gets the sale. Neither of us can leave a review.

I just finished my first dunk on the Posh bag and will have to post before and afters shortly! TY for your thoughts and helping me process - I'm a think-out-loud kind of girl :)

Has anyone tried dunking a 9043 Geometric bag?
I just got a black one, and the leather definitely feels really soft. I am also wondering the top flap that comes up has a hard material to keep the structure in place. I wonder if what's inside is waterproof? The last thing I would want is for it to be damagedView attachment 4785223
maybe @katev ?...or has @houseof999 done one of these?
