So I spent over an hour applying a mix of tube eggshell and creme blue jean Saphir to the sad trim on my periwinkle lunchbox. Now what? Eggshell box shows to let it stand and then buff, but even though I left out the cpr, it still feels like buffing it will wipe it all off. Thinking I should have gone with blue jean tube recolorant with a little eggshell mixed in. Any advice ? @valv54 ?
The renovatrice in the tube, once its on there its on there. You can buff the renovatrice, I'd go get a tube in the color you need and I'd keep the creme for a body touchup. The creme is tough. If its not a saturated color, It looks like nothing is there. I have lots of colors that never worked.

Hello again! I did the 20 minute dunk to my bag and it’s currently drying (already looks better!). I dug through my leather care products and have 2 that I can potentially use in place of leather cpr or AppleCare.

The saphir is for ‘oiled leather’ while the melatonian is ‘all purpose’. I also have Lexol wipes, blackrocks and obenaufs. Any idea if my bag is oiled leather or if I should use one over the other?

Attaching the BEFORE picture of the bag plus the conditioner I have.

I think it needed longer to dry (I mixed creme with Tube). I left it while I went to the salon and then ate lunch. It feels much better. It came out a smidge lighter than the bag’s color. Debating if I should buy blue jean in a tube and apply over it (would this make a big mess?) or leave as is. Will have to post pics and see what those here think of the end result.

it came out a bit bluer/brighter when seen in sun even though I did it in the sun. And now dry I see some thinner parts. I may just buy blue jean in a tube and use it solo but I don’t want goopy layers. Even with it slightly off color the whole bag looks brighter and fresher to meView attachment 4777268View attachment 4777269View attachment 4777270View attachment 4777271View attachment 4777272
I dont think it looks so bad. It looks two tone almost like the binding is a different tanned leather and was deliberate. Lovely colour outside...it glows.

I scrolled back and couldn’t find your pics - would you mind posting them again if you get a chance? Would love to see before and after
Looks great! I did buy the Willis - can’t wait to get it - I feel more hopeful now. Here’s a pic from the listing. I don’t think its too bad - looking forward to seeing the transformation

I think it looks good! I like the two tone look. Way better than it looked before!

What you have isn't oiled leather.

It looks a lot better. I like the two tone. I don't think I could get it on that even without getting it on the other parts.

I have no idea what color this is. It a touch more brown than regular camel. I wasn't aware it was brass until I received it. Since its 02 I don't have any references. I'd say it's a fawn color. Lol.
Side note, they offered Toffee with brass on several bags, that appear to be the classic
leather, in '98, but I couldn't find a direct reference to the Willis. Toffee does strike me as similar to Camel. I have a 2001 and 2002 paper catalog, but didn't see anything other than nickel/camel.
I had picked up a Bleeker Backpack (top stitiching) last summer at a flea market that was originally offered in Camel. It was really worn. After dunking, conditioning with CPR, it does remind me of your rehabbed Willis. I had a camel Bleeker Basket tote that was my flaming rehab fail.

In the early 2000s, there was vicuna, acorn and saddle. I have vicuna. It is similar to British tan but not as red.
