I'm not doing much. I've watched some TV, reheated some leftovers for lunch. I have some bags I should photograph but haven't felt like it for a long time. The light is only good to take pictures in the morning so another day has passed without me doing it.

I'm home alone tonight. I wasn't feeling well earlier today so my family asked me to stay home. We were going to light off fireworks at my sister's house. It's also 95° F with soupy humidity so I'm enjoying some ice cream on the couch in the air conditioning with my two little beggar dogs knowing they'll eventually get some as long as they maintain eye contact. Happy 4th!
I am having a similar night only instead of dogs, one of my stray friends I mentioned before ran into the garage on my heels when a firework being set off illegally in the park behinD me scared her. Went right under the car where I can’t reach. I wouldn’t mind, but it was 97 today with humidity so the garage is still really hot and it smells because I put my dyed bag out there. She could NOT stay in there, but she refused to look at me or budge and I didn’t want to chase her. I put water and a box of dirt and left the screen door propped, but the noises got worse. About a half hour later while I was trying to rig the door so she could get out without another cat friend getting in, she bolted out at the next boom.
I was sort of relieved she ran in so I knew she wouldn’t get lost or hit by a car, but the heat is so dangerous I was also relieved she wasn’t in there all night going into distress. She ran towards my backyard, she might be under my shed, but they were setting them off so close I was afraid to walk around looking.
All I managed to do today was polish one bag’s hardware. My ac died so Ive been laying on the couch as its too humid to do anything. I was gonna display my bags on my newly built Ikea bookshelf but I can’t be bothered without cold ac lol.
It is funny that I am in the north east, Morgan Bellini is in the mid-west I think and you are in Canada and we are all suffering with the humidity. Wonder how Maraudingmagpie is doing in Germany?

Its a beautiful but cool winter day here and we have the fire going and Ive listed about 10 things.

You’re in Arizona right? I can only imagine how hot and dry it can get. I don’t mind the heat itself but its the humidity that gets to me. Im sweating buckets and I can’t fall asleep lol
No, California, but in the central valley where it gets very hot. I can't stand humidity. One summer we traveled in the south and about died from the humidity.
Catching up from yesterday’s post this morning while drinking my morning coffee. My teenage son and his girlfriend and I made a small fire for s’mores and then we hopped in our pool to watch fireworks. I live in Ohio and they are illegal but several of my neighbors spend thousands of dollars on pretty spectacular ones. We had such a fun night! My little sheltie even had a good time—I can’t believe what a good boy he is with fireworks. I hope everyone else had a great night.
