Could I get some advice please? I’m interested in this Bag https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/324205466074 but is red really tricky to rehab?
Red can be strangely hard to rehab. The red bag in the link looks to be in very clean condition. Perhaps with just a bath to freshen and shape, and a very light hand with conditioner? Or, you might find that it does not need any treatment. BTW, does the seller include the strap drop measurement? I have NYC bags with shorter straps, just mentioning.

I’m not sure about the strap measurement but I’ve had it authenticated by Beenburned.

I ordered some Saphir products. Black juvacuir for my UA Stewardess and then the blue jean and cream color/product combos that @MrsGAM suggested. My attempt to make periwinkle paint went: too blue, too purple, to blue, too purple, not dark enough, still too Blue, now too purple, now it’s down the drain. I don’t have the patience for that.

I dunked my Saddle Bag!:smile::smile: I vacuumed out the inside, which was quite clean, considering how much usage it had, given the wear. Not a pen mark or smudge of makeup to be found. It finished dripping and I have it stuffed with a towel. Will put a little CPR on shortly. I'll post a pic and describe the process after I eat some dinner and get a load of laundry in.

I’ve been wanting to try restoring Periwinkle! I just need to find a bag under $20. If it was me, I’d try Saphir Creme Surfine in Jean Blue mixed with one of the cream colored Saphir Creme Renovatrice to get the right color + CPR. I used a mix of Saphir Creme Surfine and Creme Renovatrice to recolor an orange Abbie that had mildew damage.

I am going to try the Saphir. Would you add the blue jean surfine to the cream renovatrice or start with the blue jean and then add the renovatrice to it?

As promised, sorry for the poor lighting. If we have a little sun tomorrow, I can get a good afternoon picture. The process, 10 minutes in warm water (kitchen sink) with about 1/2 ounce of Leather Therapy leather cleaner. I wore disposable gloves as I did not want to scratch the leather with nails. I did a gentle toothbrush scrub of the suede inside and just massaged the leather surfaces. Then it had a 10 minute rinse in cool water with 1 cup of white vinegar. I let it drain for 10 or 15 minutes upside down on the LT bottle. Then I laid it on a towel and stuffed with another. About 30 minutes later I decided to apply Leather CPR, wearing gloves, with my fingers. I moved the CPR around, making sure it was absorbed for the most part. When I was all done, I patted it down with a paper towel. Will tomorrow, most likely after work.

@aerinha, at least you don't have Saddlery problems on top of it! @whateve, @Aku_no_Hana, and everyone, my very sad Saddlery is all done and ready to be carried.
I knew going in that I might have to deal with uneven color, and that's what's happening.
The bag arrived dry, scratched, distorted, pancaked and faded with very gunky hardware. She's now juicy, smooth and sheeny but remains 'dimensionally distressed' in multiple shades of brown, taupe and gray. The color is impossible to photograph true to real-life. Looking at it in passing you would probably describe it as a light warm taupe.
I didn't buy the bag for the color but rather for 'it's a Saddlery at $$ instead of $$$', so I'm not too mad. I think the worst aspect of her appearance are the indentations in the piping that won't go away. Annoyingly, those dimples are also where the original gray lingers, making them look deeper than they actually are.

Looking past those issues, OMG how cute is this style?! I want one in every color now. Everything everyone said about the Saddlery is true. She looks like the feminine and dainty version of a hunting bag. She's the lady that woos the wealthy nobleman at the ball and goes rumbling through the muddy countryside the next day. She's the Elizabeth Bennet of bags and I'm in love.
Here's a couple befores and afters with different lighting, a turnlock-tab color study, and a bonus photo of my dog who was scandalized at having a bag shoved towards her precious paws and having her picture taken.
