The red lunch box is in the wash. A bit fearful how this will work out because it felt kind of crunchy hard. I think the seller just slapped something on to make it look shiny and said “washed and conditioned“. It was missing the leather tab off its zipper so I spent $6 to get a scrap of red leather almost the same color and want to make a pattern using the tab on my periwinkle one and try sewing my own replacement so it is properly on the ring. Of course I have never sewn leather before so I say this like it will be doable and easy.
Those little tabs get lost often. My aqua one is missing its tab too. I just put a tassel on it. On the topic of that particular seller, don't know what she uses but she needs to find something else.

I'm on furlough again through next week so I think I'll keep my mind off of the happenings of the world by doing a Mardi Gras Station bag marathon rehab. The purple one came to me rehabbed but the other three need some serious TLC. The green one has a large stain on the front that will hopefully come out. Wish me luck!View attachment 4769911
You need a yella bag in der, cher! ETA I guess the camel color would be the closest in a vintage one.

I dunked the sad Beekman today and spent some time wiping down the handle while it was in the wash. I hoped to get the black residue off but as it's drying, it's still there. Any tips on how to clean oils and dirt off of a well worn handle? This was before the dunk: IMG_5432.JPGIMG_5451.JPG
