I believe Vals secret is she puts it close the the computer fan and they dry quicker.
We are heading into winter so my rehabs are taking longer to dry. Now that we have the fire going they will have a seat near it to dry.
I put my station bag in front of the fan yesterday and I was able to carry it today when I went to my daughter's. Pics after one final coat of Blackrocks!

I was seriously considering to break my bag ban and buying it . Good thing we didn't compete with each other. Glad it is one of us got it.
ETA :I am an animal lover too.

Thanks! Sometimes I worry about all of us competing and I don't want to hurt any feelings, but like you I want the best bags to go to people who love them! I will share lots of pics when it gets here.

Are you sure it is authentic? Fakes often don't cover the dowel with leather. It is unusual for the leather for fall off. The proper way is to get a piece of thin leather and cover the dowel. The easy way is to use fabric paint.[/QUOT
After I dunked it I saw little leather bits in the water I assumed it was real so maybe it's not thanks for your suggestions.

My first bag with nickel hardware is on its way to me. Funny because I am a white metal person and all my vintage bags have brass. Is it safe for nickel to be in a vinegar water soak when I dunk the bag?
It should be fine. Nickel is a lot easier than brass. It doesn't tarnish or get verdigris so it doesn't need any special treatment. You don't need to use vinegar at all for the hardware. I would only use it if you are trying to get rid of mildew or smells.

Next question of the day (my gray with nickel Willis arrived today instead of Tuesday prompting all my questions): is there a difference between Fiebings Leather Cement and Aileen’s Leather and Suede Glue? I have Aileen’s and it seems to work, but this Willis will need what I glue to really hold so I want to use the best option. Looking at the packing they seem to be the same, but if anyone has personal experience with both info would be appreciated.

Oh, did I mention she is from Costa Rica? She is my first CR bag and feels soooooo smushy.

As Whateve said, nickel does fine in vinegar. Don't try to polish it or you might end up with chrome. I read that on here somewhere I think.

Has anyone dunked a legacy hobo 9058? I would like to dunk this bag but am not sure if the reinforced bottom is just an extra strip of leather or if it has cardboard in between the layers.
