Gorgeous! I love that! Mine is my birthday bag too because I just turned 50 and I got her for my birthday and she's about my age so...
Unfortunately mine did not come with her hangtag and she's missing a grommet but I love her.

Hi everyone! I just got a box o' bags from a Poshmark purchase and boy does it smell. Unpacking it I think that 3 of the bags have been treated with something mysterious and the source of the odor. (The other three have little or no residual odor after being separated). The odor almost reminds me of creosote or railroad ties or maybe motor oil...
Here are pics of one of the stinkers after I soaked and scrubbed it-- and it still stinks. When it was wet it was blotchy and seemed like trying to be a British tan bag (which would seem to match the stitching) but as it "dried" it kept getting darker? That's not how this usually works! And now 2 days later it's dry but feels oily damp and is heavier than I'd expect. I wrote to the seller and asked if she had treated any of the bags and she said she used Obenauf LP. Good product but not the source of my mystery. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that these bags are as she found them and maybe she just tried to rub them with LP. Any ideas? Anyone know of a leather dye or product that would look/smell like this and how to GET IT OFF??? Also the other two bags (old dinky and compact clutch) are also really dark and oily feeling tho I haven't tried anything with them.IMG_1830.jpgIMG_1832.jpgIMG_1834.jpg

I wonder if the seller has a wood burning stove? That smell lingers and those who use them tend not to notice it. I have to hang my coat separate in winter to avoid a coworker’s wood smoked coat.
