Well, I finally got it done, with the exception of the brass and a couple tiny threads. And I got the verdigris off completely without smearing it! I'm pretty happy with the results.

Weird pictures of it though that don't really do it justice. My house is under construction, and there's plaster dust seemingly EVERYWHERE, so I am limited on options for taking good pictures. Oh well. It was a fun project to do while in wasn't painting or mudding. ☺
Wow, amazing job! You got that verdigris stain by the zipper out. I'm in awe.

I picked/filed it off with a metal file, then brushed the area with a suede brush before dunking it with vinegar and dish soap, as y'all suggested. I used a bottle brush to scrub it again while it was still soapy and used a tiny bottle brush on the strap connection. Then I rinsed it with vinegar in the water again. I'm so happy to have gotten it off, thanks to the plethora of knowledge on here! Thanks, ladies!

Gosh thats lovely...Im a bit afraid of white bags....dont know how to begin so I dont buy

I just got this bag in, can I dunk her? I’ve not done a bag that’s not leather inside. She needs a good cleaning on the outside.

A white Lindy, how lovely - I've never seen one in white! I can't remember if I dunked my Golden Yellow Lindy or not, I do remember that it was in good shape so I may have just surface cleaned it.

Does your white bag also have a black lining like my yellow bag? I don't think the black would bleed but I don't really know. Your bag looks great in the picture, does it have some soiled or worn areas?

I would probably start with surface cleaning but if I wasn't satisfied with the results then I would dunk it. Good luck!

Yes the inside has a black lining. I’ve never done a white bag, since I have lots of time I thought I would try it. It definitely needs a cleaning.

When a bag is dirty and I know that I can't wear it unless it is clean, I am usually willing to try dunking it. Good luck and please let us know how it turns out; we see very few Lindy rehabs.

Large plaza rehab is done. She is my new favourite bag. Pictures are before(photos 1&2), drying(photos 3&4), and finished bag(last 4 photos). It was normal process of dunk, rinse, stuffed with towels to dry, 3 coats CPR, 2 coats of Renapur. The dark marks at back appeared to be either burn or birth marks
ETA: since our house use forced air heating in winter, the bag usually drys very fast. I always put wet bag in the unfinished basement to dry, where it's cooler with higher humidity level than rest of the house. Don't want the leather to crack from drying too fast.

It is April 1st, I am pranked by the latest 2 bags. First the blue Court was described as some wear especially one side of piping, but overall great looking. IRL it was lots of heavy wear everywhere very sad looking , especially the 2 brass D rings where strap attach to, almost worn through. ( My first ever Etsy purchase and I am opening a case, seller is not responding)
The second is a almost like new burgundy companion flap from eBay, one side of strap is attached to the bag wrong side out(the short strap with buckle should rotate 180 degree), you probably won't believe untill you see it. Not sure if seller aware of that, but I got it from a 2 bags lot at a low price, I will just have it repaired by a cobbler someday.
