You guys! I have anchors!!!
They're my first ones! This is the oldest bag I have ever purchased.
Anchors are fun. I remember discovering them. They are also on the lobster claw spring clasp styles too.

I'm thinking this bag may be my most challenging rehab yet. It's going to be my Renapur guinea pig bag. I don't have a lot of confidence that the piping will get much of its color back but I'm curious to see how it turns out. I'm prepared to paint the piping if I have to. I'm just glad the leather is intact.

I did not expect the piping to come back anywhere as much as it did on my Letter Brief. I was very generous with the CPR, to where I took off a little excess collecting here and there, 4 apps.
Eta reminds me, I have to fish out a navy Willis, see if I can get it moving . . .

Looks like a fun project. Is it green? I'd love to find a green station bag to rehab. You might be surprised by how much the piping is restored by the dunk and lots of conditioner.
I had bags where I feel it did not come back as well. Maybe I was not as generous with the CPR . . .

Yes, get going on that Willis! I want to be amazed with the results!!

20200312_184005.jpg I could use any advice you have for dealing with a very dry bag. This little slim flap saddlebag ( now authenticated) is bone dry even after a dunking and several coats of CPR. It smelled strongly of mothballs when I received it and I’m thinking that might have something to do with the dryness. I’m in love with the shape and light color, but it feels almost papery to the touch. I’ve seen slight improvement as I’ve CPR’d, but nothing like like I’ve gotten used to with other bags. It is a Costa Rican if that helps.

I goofed on my green Station rehab yesterday! I dunked and scrubbed it and left in it the sink to drip dry for a few minutes but I forgot about it and went to bed. I might have to do another quick dunk just to wet the leather again because this bag badly needed to be reshaped and now it looks even more wonky than before.

Lol I had a bag drip drying outside and forgot about it and went to bed. I didn't remember till next morning. Mine didn't dry out as it rained and I found my bag still damp. :giggle:

I don’t have a rehab pile but did finally manage to order some paint (folkart vintage white per Ebkbay’s recommendation) for my beige Devon. So I’m looking forward to starting that! If that works maybe there will be another beige bag in my future. Fingers crossed.
If the antique white doesn’t work for your bag (it has a slightly pinkish tone), there is another Folkart colour I have used a lot. If DH and I manage to get home from Spain after a month’s holiday this Thursday (the country is on pretty much of a lockdown) I’ll get that colour name to you.

Since noone can go do anything this weekend, who's gunna work on that rehab pile!
I started on my last purchase before my (for real this time) ban:giggle: It’s a Costa Rican Black Patricia’s Legacy. Also finishing up a burgundy NYC Saddle Pouch Medium which has torn piping. My first time trying to rehab torn piping! Think I need to put down another layer of glue before covering with 3D paint. I should be able to post the end results sometime this coming week.

Thanks Ebkbay! I hope you get back ok!

I did recently get a beige pocket purse that’s in perfect condition, and indeed its colour is a bit pinker than the Devon (which sort of looks greenish by comparison). I’d be ok to change the colour of the Devon bag but if there is another white that’s a closer match I’d love to try it first. Thanks!!

I often take the hangtag with me to the hobby store to find a good match - but don't lose it!
