So,I am in the process of rehabbing one of my sister's bags for her and it was going great.
UNTIL, my son fell on his face and started spewing blood everywhere.
I dropped the bag to see if he was okay, thankfully he's fine he only has two teeth completely out and there are 4 more on the surface so he must have bumped those. He still holds on to walk so he's super clumsy.
ANYWAY, in my frantic run to his aid and dropping the bag, my nail DEEPLY scratched a crescent moon shape on it. Thank God on the back. But, ugh. Lol
How to I help these corners?
It’s a 2006 Chelsea bag, so not totally vintage leather. Some of the superficial layer has been rubbed off?

You might need to use a little craft paint mixed with conditioner. I'd try conditioning first. How to I help these corners?

Of course!Glad to hear your son will be okay, sounds like a very nasty fall. Could you post a picture of the bag and the scratch?
It’s actually brown. Does that change your advice? With a black bag like that, it may work to give it a bath, condition, and then treat with blackrocks to restore the black color.
Of course!
She had me buy it off of poshmark for her. I asked her if she wanted me to auth first but she said she didn't care one way or the other because she might not keep it anyway. Lol
Anyway, I just got it in the mail today and gave it a bath and all that. Was looking it over because it had water damage before the bath. Then he fell and I put that big ole scratch on it. She may not want it now. If that's the case and it's authentic I could either keep for resell. Idk yet. Lol

Wow! That's a HUGE improvement.Ok I think I'm done with the smokin' deal smokin' smellin' Winnie. Smoke odor gone! If anything, she has a smell that is just not quite that Coach leather smell but definitely not smoke anymore. Very very much improved and wouldn't even make you bat an eye. Or a nostril. I did a dunk then about 3 coats of CPR and a coat of Renapur. I initially loved the results of the Renapur but after a day or two it still felt not super soft so I did a light coat of Blackrock as an experiment to see if that would get it up just one more notch. It appllied over the Renapur just fine as that had dried days before, seemingly no issues, so I'll see how it looks in another day or do. Otherwise I am THRILLED since this bag was flattened and heavily smelled of smoke. Before, during and after.
