I am not sure if all outlets have one. I didn't even know my outlet had one and when she said stamping machine I thought she meant like they could take a blank tag and stamp the cartouche on it but when I called the boutique the SA said their stamping machine only did monograms for initials or maybe a word or whatever. So I honestly don't know what all a stamping machine does or which stores should have one. Sorry!
I've never seen a stamping machine at an outlet but I've seen a few at boutiques. Besides letters, they have characters you can get stamped on hangtags. The first picture are hangtags my daughter had made for me. The middle one has my name on the other side. Some cities have special stamps for their city, as shown in the second picture, which someone else posted on tpf. The last picture are tags I got made in Las Vegas.

It looks great! Do you think it will hold up to being carried?
Thanks and I think it will. E6000 glue is very strong yet flexible after cured (72hours), the core of strap are glued to both top and bottom of leather at broken point, I even use needle head to push some glue into the hollow part of top portion of leather strap. Since the exposed core was coated with glue prior to pull down tight into bottom leather straw, that will make the broken strap whole again once cured properly. E6000 can be used to glue back the outsoles of shoes too and will hold very well. When it is leather on leather, once cured you won't be able to peel them apart again. The down side of E6000 can be difficult to work with, you only have a minute or 2 to adjust things, can not be disturbed while curing, and can be a little messy too. The excess is cleanable with acetone.
Since it is a tiny bag with tiny straps, I won't be put too much weight in it, otherwise other strap may break as well.
The core is suppose to add strength to the strap, but will be useless if it is not binded at the end to the leather. That was why the strap broke, the leather is very thin, and the core came out freely while I was cleaning the bag.

That's good to know. I've used E6000 to reglue stones on some of my fobs.

I’m hopeless. Completely hopeless, when it comes an NYC bag with a kisslock inside. Well, lol for about $50. A sale of a black clutch with a kisslock fell through. So here I am with this distressed bag. Lovin it. My cleaned up Shoulder Purse is mostly likely putty. This is a shade darker, and ironically was just discussing it, a match for my taupe Patti. Wonder if that makes it Tabac. Definitely not a Brit.

We used E6000 in my glass fusing class in college to secure silver bails to glass cabochons to make necklaces. I gave necklaces to all of my female friends and family members and that glue has held up wonderfully over the years. It's good stuff!

*sigh*...wish we had an outlet or the Boutique was closer than an hour flight or a 8 hour drive.
So envious of all the bags you gals get to see.
I understand. They closed all my nearby boutiques a few years ago. Even when I used to go to them, they never had the things I wanted to see because they were small stores. Now I only get to a Coach boutique when we travel. We do have an outlet fairly close by but I rarely visit anymore.

Has the one on the left got a different strap?...wow the one on the right is very distressed. Cant wait to see what you do with them.

A while ago I got this black Mini shopper with one broken strap, with the core threads exposed. During the dunk, the core threads were completely pulled out from the bottom part of strap. I decided to fix it myself. First step is to tie the end of cores with a thin stitching thread, then use sewing needle pull the thread through the tiny leather straw of bottom strap, coating the cores with a bit E6000 glue , and use the thread to pull the cores slowly through the bottom leather straw untill the broken part of leather lined up closely. Fill up the crack with a little more glue and let it to cure for 24 hrs. Next day touched up with black puffy paint. The result is not bad.
(I use E6000 for its industrial bond strength)

I have bin following this all afternoon, you did a super job fixing the strap.
I have a black Abbie that came with a broken strap, that was the reason I got her so dirt cheap. The strap on that one was in two pieces and I didn't think glue would hold it together so I stitched it with black thread first along the seam and then all the way around. It's not a work of art but it blends in pretty well, all I use it for is to carry my inhaler, key's and phone when I take the dogs for a walk.
I will try your idea with the E-6000 glue on the handle of a tan Montichello bag that has a partial rip on the handle, the picture of the damage on that one looked much worse then the actual small tear, I think the stitching stopped it from going further.
Thanks everyone that chimed in on that conversation, I really had my daubts that Leather cement would be the right tool for the job.

Yes, the one on the left, that has been rehabbed, which I believe is putty, did not come with a strap. I carried it this weekend with a strap from a red Basic bag.
The one on the right is a real beater isn’t it!! The leather on it is super soft, like, Costa Rican smooshy. Can wait to get it dunked and conditioned too! It has quite a long strap. I also have this bag in Navy. I think the strap is double, like the Basic bag. I’ll have to check.
