Define progress, I rushed her back to the vet Monday morning after both of us spend a sleepless night. Not the same vet, she was in a lot of pain and there was an odor coming from the cast. They removed the cast immediately it was a mess under there. The cast was on to tight and it caused sores to develop to make it short it was a bloody mess. Now the cast is off but the open wounds have closed and are healing. She is back on antibiotics and pain killers and another vet visit next monday.
Her royal highness wishes to be hand fed and watered of course is getting carried to go to the bathroom.
In the meantime I'm sweating bullets because that foot is not fully healed from the break but until the sores heal she can't go in to a splint.
Not sure how coherent all this is but when it comes to my puppers I'm not a very rational dog mommy.
Oh that's terrible. Best healing wishes.

Wow, that's terrible. Poor thing! That first vet should be told about all the pain she caused.

Oh poor baby!! So sorry. I hope she heals very soon! Thoughts and prayers for your pup!
My friend's dog that needs surgery now can't have surgery because he inhaled some sort of plant material that is stuck in his sinus and needs that taken out and healed before he can have surgery.

A little rehab story. My little NYC collegiate bag turned out awesome! It took so much scrubbing though, unfortunately it was dyed. As soon as it hit the water it was like I slaughtered the whole smurf village...so much blue. Also first time I took off hardware, it was super gross. This little guy has that tough nyc leather that I always hope to find, so it tolerated being man handled. The nyc camera bag I got with this one, however didnt fair so well, it was shoe polished *shakes fist* and the leather became rough, sticky, and dull. I used leather restorer vs. CPR, that may or may not have had something to do with it. I just wanted the collegiate so for $22 I'm happy with one successful keeper rehab. Before and after.
The Stewardess I'm working on was like that, tons of dye release. I couldn't tell you if the original dye was unstable or if it had been re-dyed. Just glad it is drying with an even shade. Your Collegiate looks great!

Here are pictures of my new-to-me Dakota Harvest Tote as promised. Does anyone have any ideas for how to clean the inside pocket (pig suede)? I tried wiping it with vinegar on a cloth but that didn't remove the smudges.

This is such a beautifully crafted bag. The inside bottom seams are bound in leather!

Lincoln EZ cleaner works well on pig suede. You are supposed to shake it up and then use the foam to clean with.

Any idea what caused the dark smudges? Ink? I've lifted dark stains (dirt, NOT ink) with Gallseife laundry bar from light colored suede before, though could not tell you if it was pig or not. That is a gorgeous bag, btw. Man, just when I tell myself I have more than enough bags I see something fabulous on here!

I know, I'm the same. I certainly don't need another bag, but someone asked about the Dakota Harvest Tote in another thread and I wanted one.

Thanks for the laundry bar idea. I'm not sure what the black smudges are. I don't think it's ink. It might have come from someone rubbing the blackened zipper and getting oxidized metal dust on their fingers. That's my best wild guess.

I tried the Lincoln EZ cleaner on the pig skin lining of a gramercy and I don’t think it did much good. However, my efforts to pull out that lining caused it to stretch very badly. So, whatever you try, be very gentle and don’t manipulate it too much.

That bag of yours is gorgeous, by the way. Congratulations.

I meant to also reply to Catbird as well but the double quoting didn’t work.

Thank you. I ordered some Lincoln E-z Cleaner to try, and I'll be careful about stretching the pocket. Fortunately it's pretty easy to pull it out and lay it flat. Stay tuned....
