Crazy or not , we get it here, no ‘splaining needed!
Yes, I know at one point all the more knowledgeable posters here on some thread had in depth posting on curved versus flap buckles. All my NYCs with a buckle have flat ones, but curved ones are possible too. I don’t have any bags with pebbling, sigh, but have seen them posted and discussed. I love the pebbling in the leather side of my Berkeley Flap.
Lol, here’s a twenty, pick me up the next one you see!
Ha ha will keep my eyes peeled!:coolio:

Wow she came out lovely.
Bit disappointed with her little curl on the side. She was filthy...washed her 3 times. And she has a few piping issues. But Im a bit OCD so little things like that get to me. I have to learn to go with the flow. Every bag is different and some work out better than others.
She is a great size and might look for another next year.

That curl might work itself out with use, if not you can always dunk her again and shape her some more.
I have some small piping issues with my black saddlery bag also, it isn't visible because it is under the flap but it is giving me fits.
It didn't help that while I'm trying to work on it little Ellie (thee of the broken foot) yelped out in discomfort in the middle of it, first day with out pain meds and the bag went flying she startled me so badly. I got those spots clothes pinned right now and will leave it sit over night hopefully it will hold.

This reminds me, I was waiting for a table for brunch a couple days ago and a woman walked in with her husband and a nice vintage black and brass Stewardess on her shoulder. After she sat her husband down on a bench, she wandered my way and I complimented her on her lovely vintage bag, which led to a discussion about quality leather and so on. She said she was planning to take it to a leather repair shop in town, though I did advise her she could probably condition it herself and namedropped the site. She didn't seem too keen on trying it herself and part of me was thinking I should carry little business cards advertising this forum around with me and then realized I just might be too addicted to TPF! :-s
 That's funny! The only time I visited a Coach boutique, a nice lady showed me her bag, and I asked if she was on the forum. She smiled a funny smile and shook her head. I was in a hurry and didn't get to find out what she was thinking or whether she knew what I was talking about.

I’m going to try this post again. My first rehab. Before and after. There is some darkening around the trim. Will this go away?
Nice job! If you used a very 'greasy' or emollient conditioner, the leather can take awhile to even out in colour, especially on a lighter bag. Blackrocks can do this, IMO. Others here with experience dealing with red bags can chime in. I did find that issue working on a british tan.

A while ago I got a dark brown NYC basic bag from Poshmark. Thought to post the rehab experience to show NYC bag is totally dunk able. The leather of bag was in good condition other than out of shape, but both shoulder strap and wrist strap were very dry and stiff, they were thin leather and dried out easier compare with the thick leather of bag. First I wiped down the whole bag with cleaning towel, the conditioned them twice with leather cpr in 2 days. Then dunk the whole bag with the hair shampoo I figured might be good for cleaning leather (I did try the shampoo on a testing bag prior with good result). The biggest concern was to conserve the precious creed, I had a Legacy Patricia's creed almost disappeared on me after dunking and drying, then a court bag's creed faded quite a bit. The soft thick glove tanned leather soaked up water like sponge, take a long time to dry, and I was foolish to not to pay attention. So with this basic bag, I dried the interior pocket with creed stamped on really good with towel after dunking, and pulled it outside while drying, the result was very good. She Is almost done and beautiful already.
