hi everyone!
I wanted to ask for advice on this bag-
- nyc
-no strap
-lots of marks but looks intact
-its the cheapest station I can find. SmartSelect_20191129-021832_eBay.jpg

question
-nyc bag of this condition- will u dunk? or just steam?
-it would be nice to see if you guys have some of the worst condition bags that you guys bought and how your rehab went. Im always curious how bad would the condition of a coach bag be for rehabbers to stay away ( besides mold and having any tears)

thank you and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

My purple arrived and it is in such excellent condition I only wiped down with a baby wipe inside and out. I may put some CPR on it but it really doesn't need it. What a nice bag but I could use a longer strap to carry crossbody. I was a little worried about fading but it hasn't too much.

Gorgeous! I have this same bag but mine has faded badly. I am considering using a dye or paint but I am unsure, any suggestions?

I agree, dunk, condition, buff, repeat conditioning and buffing until no more conditioner soaks in. Finish with Blackrock (I still haven't tried Renapur but others recommend it).

The bag will still look "distressed," but in a good way, after dunking and conditioning!

Definitely dunk. It should help with the loss of color on the edges and even out the color.

I agree, definitely give it a bath. You should also call Coach and ask for a free replacement hangtag. The original had a tan leather hangtag but they will probably send a metal in gold color.

You will need to polish the hardware, I use Wenol but there are other popular choices. It looks like there are green verdigris stains from the hardware so yo may have to do a little touch-up with a tan acrylic paint.

That bag is worth saving, good luck!

I'm excited about the looking "distressed in a good way" part! Thank you @Catbird9 !
I dont think we have CPR/Blackrock/Renapur here in Singapore, but I have seen Saphir. will try that out maybe. or I can probably try gettung from amazon

Thank you @whateve ! yes Ive been noticing that in the before and afters of the bags here, I used to think I will always have to try and paint that scuffed piping so thats really an eye opener

We have a saying here in Singapore - nothing is free hahahhah. I learnt the hard way that ebay dsnt cover returns even on SNAD if bought from Singapore. BUT I will still try to ask coach and see whether they can give me a replacement tag! that would be awesome! Thank you @katev !

Here’s my most dramatic before and after. I sent these pics to Thomas at Blackrocks and he posted them on his Instagram. Just goes to show what a rehab can bring back to life. I didn’t even know what color the bag was!! ;)

If you use a freight forwarding service to purchase on ebay, they won't cover SNAD because the freight forwarders could have altered things. If you use ebay's global shipping program, I believe you are covered.
