Thank you .. you guys are awesome
I am going to post all the bag in one pic so not to flood the forum. I have a green court on it's way to me which will need TLC.
Except for the plaza and burgundy companion bag all are in like new condition. Inside super clean in all bags.

Well apparently someone's been efficient! ;D

Overall, high five. Looks like you got bags in very nice condition.

Based on those pictures, I might not dunk any of them. I wouldn't dunk a truly new looking bag. (Well, not again. I did that once.)

I'm not nearly as experienced as other rehabbers here, so take this for what it's worth. When deciding about dunking, I consider a few things:
- Is the bag dirty? (Or does it smell, though thankfully I haven't gotten a bag that smells funny, yet.)
- Is the bag misshapen?
- What's the condition of the leather like? (Dry, scuffed, scratched, etc.)

Looked at the Authenticate thread for your recent requests, hoping to see the bags in more detail.
Btw, I see that you requested authentication for your green Ritchie, navy Station, and navy Court.
Looks like you may not have asked about the other bags, yet.
I suggest you request authentications for the rest of your bags, too!

The green Ritchie looks like it might have a dent / crease on the flap. If so, it might be worth posting about here for opinions.

Also, based on the pictures you just posted here, looks like one of the Casino bags may have a dent on the flap. Can't really tell.

The Everett bag looks like it may have a small, circular indentation near the top left, but could just be the picture.

You mentioned that the Plaza and the red Companion aren't as new-looking as the other bags.

I realize you don't want to bombard this thread.
Suggest you might want to start by selecting one of the bags mentioned above, and posting more pictures of it.
That way, if you'd like, people can give you opinions about it.

Thank you... I will start by authentication the ones i have not... I can certainly start one bag at a time and ask here. You are awesome ❤

Good morning everyone, did any of you dunk a drawstring Lexington? I hope it shouldn't be an issue, plus it's black with a black lining, so I'm not worried about color bleeding. It's just in general I don't have much experience with dunking lined bags - even though the liner of this one could be pulled out and the bag's shape is very forgiving, how do you shape it while it's still wet - considering the leather stays wet much longer?

Thank you!
I think I dunked a white one. It came out fine. Usually I pull out the lining until it dries. Then I push the lining back in and stuff to shape the bag while the leather dries.

I would probably dunk the bag. It will plump up the leather, help it absorb the conditioners better, and probably even out the color. It will also allow you to do a much better job of reshaping it than you could do with just warm towels.

You could try the warm towels and CPR first, and dunk later if you decide to.

The towels can be dry or very slightly damp. Stuff lightly with the warm towels (for this bag, you'll probably only need one good-sized hand towel.) Apply conditioner to the outside of the bag, including the strap. You can stand the bag in a warm steamy bathroom or laundry room to help it along. I'd do several rounds, about 1 hour each time.

But really, if you dunk it, I think you'll be surprised at the difference.

Hello,
I have a bag just like this and I dunked in a warm bath with Dawn soap. CPR until it was nicely conditioned and then Blackrocks. It came out great! I am new at rehab and have had luck with the unlined leather bags. Just wanted to share. I would post photos but I am a terrible photographer that it would not do the bag justice! lol!

Hi! I got my first Coach bag today at a thrift shop. I was immediately drawn to the metallic cherry shade.
  1. Could someone authenticate it for me?
  2. The handles are pretty scuffed (it's more obvious in person), but the rest of the bag is in great shape. The leather on the handles is a bit tacky, as if it was exposed to extreme heat. Any rehab and rescue ideas for it? I'd prefer to try rescuing it at home, but advice on professional help would be appreciated as well.

Thank you for your time!

Curious, when you wash and condition a bag and it finished 4 shades darker is it because the water and CPR changed it or is it that conditioner restored moisture and revived the original color to former glory?

Thanks, whateve! I figured that's not a kind of a bag that could be ruined by dunking, so I gave it a bath a few days ago and going through the final steps of moisturizing now. Probably will let it sit for another day before adding a coat or two of Blackrocks. I love the shape way more than any bucket bags and I think it will replace my eggplant Edie that started losing color on the corners in less than 6 months (without ever touching the ground!) - I'm so done with modern Coach bags!

If the bag was super dry, the bath and conditioner likely returned the bag to its former color. The conditioner may have a darkened some, too. CPR darkens much less than an oil-based conditioner like Leather Therapy, in my opinion.
