I didn't need to rehab or rescue my Parker crossbody, but I really wanted this bag to be a top handle crossbody, so I wanted to share what I did to my Parker.
I cut the chain off, then I used 2 D rings(with screws) and used a shortened strap from my Coach Faye bag, and used this to make a handle.
So now I have a Parker with a handle that can also crossbody. I'm soooo happy with my "new" bag!

Today I purchased an Ace Satchel in honey suede. The description spoke of some dark denim color transfer and sounds like the handles are dirty. This kind of wear would be expected if not careful with denim and since the handles are suede, hard to keep those clean no matter what! Your hands get dirty and leave oils especially if you use hand cream. I feel I got a decent price on the bag since it is hard to find and the photos don't look as horrific as the ad made it out to be. When I receive it, I'll assess the damage but considering sending it to one of those handbag spas for cleaning/conditioning. Has anyone used one of those before? I'm thinking a good professional cleaning could do this one good and come back to me in beautiful condition! TIA!

My Coach Barclay bag got in today. I am considering dunking it. It has a thick bottom panel and I can't tell if it is all leather or not. Does anyone know? I would hate to dunk it and find out it has a cardboard center. Also this bag is really big, it will have to go in the tub because it will not fit in my sink. I am trying to convince my husband that I need a bigger sink now, lol.

Am hoping you seasoned rehabber's might have some advice for me. It's not a coach bag but a Poon Switzerland bag. These are supposed to have a special coating on them. This one is supposed to be saffiano leather . I had noticed last week some peeling on an edge. Contacted NZsale where I got it and they offered me a 30% refund and I can keep the bag. This I took as I love it.
So now I'm hoping for some help. Any ideas how I can stop it peeling and protect the leather underneath from water damage?20190125_204504.jpg20190125_204634.jpg

If it were mine, I would use a little Fiebing's leather cement on a toothpick to glue down the little fragments that are sticking up. Run a fingertip gently over it to smooth it down. The cement dries clear.

The best way to protect it from water damage would be to not let it get wet.

I just bought a pourly listed Chelsea Abbey in Tobacco on a whim.....wondering how bad it will be when it comes. I'm thinking there may be ink marks on the inside at the very least. I can't believe no one else bid on it?!

I have used CPR on pebbled leather with no issues, but will black rocks pull out the texture? I typically do not buy pebbled leather.
