Hello ladies,

I come to say thank you, thank you!
I finished rehabbing the bag that felt like suede on the front flap and leather on the rest. You advised me to keep conditioning, because it might take several applications to make it look like leather again. Most likely (although that was my plan, to give it a bath and conditioner a couple times), I would have given up when it seemed almost impossible, but I didn't give up and I do not know how many layers of Leather Therapy and Blackrocks, and one arm now bigger than the other from buffing, LOL but now I am very happy with the results, although as you also mentioned the color would get darker, but now matches the patina of the rest.
Also very pleasantly surprised when polishing the buckles, I realized that are all stamped with the "anchor". Before I only had seen it on the strap clips.
So thanks for your advice and encouragement, you ladies rock!
Before and after...

It looks amazing! I chuckled at your comment about one arm being bigger. It certainly feels that way sometimes! [emoji23]

I think the dino patch looks like it was made for that duffle! Bags are meant to be carried, so if it would make it more fun for you, I say yay.

It turned out great! I love how you chose the patches to emphasize New York, 1941, and C for Coach. Electrifying!

Amazing! It turned out great. I was so curious how it would turn out. The charm looks great with this bag.

It looks great.

Oh yes! I totally feel Bucket Dino!
But why do I not feel it for that beautiful creamy Convertible Clutch??

Wow! Embellishing done right! *seriously thinking about going back to flea market where I saw a train wreck of a red Station bag last week*
To those who insist on *Be-Dazzling* Coach bags: Please take note of this, less is more!
To anyone from Coach Corporate who may be lurking (ie the intern assigned to monitor Social media and blogs) : How about featuring this rehabber on your website, with her permission and compensation of her choice??

Cool idea!

I love it! It looks much better than Coach's attempt!

I know , doesn’t it?!

Thanks you guys! I did go ahead and take a deep breath and glued the dino patch on. [emoji33] I figured what the heck, it’s not a perfect bag anyway. And now I’ll hopefully reach for it more often.

Fun side note...I assume it’s because I’ve conditioned the bags so well but it seems like if I ever tire of the patches on either of these bags, they will peel off with minimal effort! I suppose that’s cool but also worrisome in case I get a little wild with my carrying. The E6000 is holding them on but if I slide a fingernail under the edge, it appears they’ll come right up.

I've read people using the Collinol spray recently and was on their site but can't decide which one people are talking about. I have a few suede bags I want to spray and then maybe a light colored bag. Is it the Carbon Pro people are using?

I have used Collonil bamboo spray on a suede Lucky hobo and it worked quite well. It's a dark bag.

I just gave my worn wallet a makeover. Before: all the shiny gold finish was worn and mostly gone in various places.
After: I used Sharpie gold metallic permanent marker. I like the matte metallic finish much better than the shiny one. View attachment 4044672View attachment 4044673

That is quite a brilliant idea! I will have to try that.

Your advice, please. I recently bought a black crossbody Nomad in the factory outlet. It appears to have been made for the outlets. I would describe the exterior as a very dull, flat black. I tried using some of the Coach conditioner on it, but there is still no sheen. The bag is made from "gloved leather". Any ideas on how to give the leather some life would be welcome.

I would try Blackrock Leather n Rich. Apply sparingly, and immediately buff the excess off with a paper towel. Later after it is completely dry (not sticky) buff with a brush or cloth.
