Ok I know nothing can be done about the scratches (right?) but seriously, would you rehab this bag?

Thank you so much for posting this. I have never seen these before. This is all new to me. I can see why you were interested in this bag. I would have never noticed that text and logo differences. I’m still learning, I hope I didn’t offend anyone. Thanks again

I would at that price. I like the overall style and color of the bag and I think it would be very functional for me. I do like the Tattersall lining. I would also be accepting of the weirdness/pitting would not change. But I still have bags to rehab/clean! As well as an abundance of Brits/neutrals, so I will pass.

I have a bag from the same line and the logo on mine looks just like this one.

Thank you, yes you are absolutely right. I noticed last night in researching this logo, that the open text has this logo while the solid text has the looped whip. I’m so happy to know this new information. I probably would have walked away from a bag with this logo. Now I will definitely give it a second look [emoji4]

That's a great deal. I think you could fix up the handles and clean up the lining, but I doubt you could do anything about that pitting. I've always been curious about this style but it is probably too similar to the Bleeckers I already have.

I have that bag. The handles look like they have really darkened. I think of it as my Bleecker version of the Candace.

I passed. I need to finish my rehab pile before buying another one. [emoji852]️

I'm not even motivated to rehab a single bag. I have bags that I have rehabbed and it seems to add no value to it whatsoever.

The trick is to avoid overpaying for the bag in the first place. (Believe me, I have learned this the hard way! Sometimes my emotions override my business sense.)

Gray NYC Stewardess for $50! Pretty hard to find!

Now this beauty...it's a good price, and I bet some value could be added by an easy rehab! (I'm passing on it, I have two rehabs coming in this week.)

I gave it a shot already. She had a long bath, first scrubbed with Dawn. The darker spots I then covered in oxy something whatever spray (max out?) and left for 30 minutes. Then I rinsed that. Seemed like the darker spots were fading a bit so I did that again. Then I scrubbed it all over the twill with fels naptha laundry soap. Not great for leather but fine for twill I think. Then a vinegar rinse. I think it looks cleaner and more evenly colored and the spots that are still there are at least lighter. I hope! At least worst case scenario in which the leather bleeds on the twill didn't happen. The handles do feel pretty soft so if I attempt anything more with her I'll be covering those from now on. It's always hard to tell for sure when its drying but I think it's overall better.

All the other bags washed and drying, no issues. And for now my day is done :)

Sounds like an overall success! Please share after photos when you can. You're giving me hope for a twill Basic! Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. I need another "quest" bag like a hole in the head!
