Do you think this is fixable? Stumbled across this bag, for cheap, but wondering if its possible to fix, or to BE fixed. Almost looks like someone tried to glue it. I'd be willing to pay to have it fixed, if you guys think its worth it.

I love that style! Definitely remove all that glue! I had one that was similar. I sewed a new piece of leather to the end and then attached that to the bag. It is very hard to sew it back on to the bag. You could check with a local shoe repair to see how much they would charge. If it was under $15, I would have them do it.Do you think this is fixable? Have you had it authenticated yet?

I'm loving the results of my sticker festival! This bag is the perfect size for my laptop and I have had it for years. It was seriously grotty when I bought it at goodwill for about $7, and I ruined it while washing it by trying to remove the previous owner's name from the inside of the bag which made the ink spread around the place even through the leather. So I have never used it.. but now I will! The handles are still pretty grotty but whatever.. it has a glued in serial number so I guess that makes it super old! Unfortunately you can still see a little bit of the stain near the flag sticker. Also I left a space because I'm hoping I might add the bunny sticker if I can ever find it...

Bag number 2, had really really bad spots that I think might be a couple of cigarette burns (but it doesn't smell like smoke) and some kind of "water" stain.

Beats me why this posted sideways on tinypic.
I put a sticker on one other, a courier where there was an obvious ink stain under the flap, but I haven't got a pic of that. I have to say I was very nervous about all of this but ultimately I wouldn't have done it if I felt the bags could have been useble any other way. I had tried painting but didn't get the right color match with them. I do think they now look pretty eye catching!
I have this exact bag, and it's my absolute favorite vintage Coach bag! (I love it so much that I bought a second in cognac that I am fixing up now.) My handle dried a bit wonky, so I might suggest propping yours somehow during the drying process.Rehab project for the weekend will be this manor bag that @whateve authenticated for me. (Thanks again!) It is really dry and scratched up, so into the bath it goes!View attachment 3845821 View attachment 3845823
Thanks for the head's up @nursebetty ! Maybe I will roll up a dish cloth to help keep the handle's shape while it is drying.I have this exact bag, and it's my absolute favorite vintage Coach bag! I think I used a sanding block.Anyone shaved a Berkeley? You know cuz they are "hairy"?! Can I shave the little fuzzies? View attachment 3846104
Did they come off or did it make more fuzzies to make it look evenly hairy? I barely have time to brush my hair, let alone a bag. Lol!I think I used a sanding block.
They put that up a few years ago when Debi was buying up a bunch of bags so Coach could bedazzle them and sell them for inflated prices. Very artistic to use a barrel of water instead of a sink, and dip rather than soak.I'm guessing that most of you have already seen this video? But it was a surprise to me to find on coach.com; it is an homage to a really serious vintage coach bag restoration expert:

I can't remember. If it worked, it didn't work that well.Did they come off or did it make more fuzzies to make it look evenly hairy? I barely have time to brush my hair, let alone a bag. Lol!
