Hi everyone. Just wanted to say I am happy to have found you all! I've got about a dozen Coach bags. Some look great, most need some sprucing up and a few need a rescue! I'm also trying to name and date a few of them.

If I list a few bags here with their serial number, look, and location of 'birth', will someone, anyone, let me know what they know?

One woman I talked to took her bag into the dry cleaner and they were able to get the denim stains out. Not sure what they did, but if nothing else is working for you, take it to your local dry cleaner.

The best luck I've had so far is a thorough washing & drying followed by a suede eraser (which actually took off ink) followed by a suede brush. IMO the eraser provided the best results. I started off slow to make certain I wasn't lifting color and got more aggressive in the troubled areas. A lot of elbow work; but worth the effort.

Hello ladies! Hyacinth was nice enough to authenticate a bag for me, and I wanted all of you to weigh in and tell me if you think it's worth rehabbing - it's a little rough! And sorry for the sideways pics, Photobucket is a bit wonky tonite.

A lot of colors are at the outlets. I think it wouldn't be that hard to switch the ring. I would use a screwdriver to hold open the ring to slide the tassel off and then slide it onto the new ring. I haven't looked but I am pretty sure you can get the brass rings at a craft store like Michaels or online. I got the dogleash clips online.

Awesome! Maybe i will go to the outlets soon. I think a couple of shades of blue will look nice with the british tan...

Light-colored bags are more difficult to rehab than dark colors but I would be willing to give it a try. Pretty bag, good luck!

Ladies - I know this is way off topic of rehabbing Coach bags but I was shopping at Savers today and found another Coach bag deal (although Katev always gets better deals than I do at Savers) - but....I also found this really beautiful bag...it is so unqiue to me - another customer said I should bring it on the antiques Roadshow show. Well, I posted pics of it on the Identify Purse thread in this forum but haven't heard from anyone and I'm impatient to find out some info!!! ;)Could you gals take a look and tell me if you have ever seen anything like it? I cannot find any logo, serial#, nothing except a metal "Scottie Dog" inside it...it is so heavy with gorgeous red lining - I just love it!! Thanks! here is the link:

That is quite an interesting bag (in a good way!). It reminds me of Icon bags which have works of art on them.
