COACH Hall of Shame - Post Coach fakes here!

Phew! We knew their "professional" COA companies weren't great, but I'm glad they didn't do this one.

Did they give you a hard time on getting the refund?
I shared with them a catalog photo of item 9911 and then showed them the creed that came in the bag they sent me. Case closed, counterfeit. They agreed instantly to a refund, including shipping. I didn't even point out the typo "charateristic."

I think I win for the worst coach counterfeit ever. This is a Kimball bag? So many things wrong with this piece of ridiculousness. Number one, it's not leather. Number 2, it's not coach. The creed says it's a 9911. My favorite no way is the "wooden" dowell. Bendy! Second favorite is the attractive strap stitching. Don't ask me how I came in possession of this, just suffice it to say I've gotten a full refund from shopgoodwill.

Remember a bonus section in the Salearea Guides thread called the Daria48 Fake Numbers List? Post 38. If you use any kind of Smartphone I recommend copying and saving the full list.

I literally don't see anything that's right with that POS. My eyes are crossing just looking at it. I can't believe that the employees at GW could think it's real. Or maybe they knew it was fake and didn't GAS.

As the late great Ann Landers used to say, "Twenty lashes with a wet noodle".

A bit of shopping advice, if you were the actual buyer and not just a giftee or an inheritor -

SLOW

DOWN.

OMG! Entrupy AGAIN!

According to my notes, this bag was reported and removed in April. But it's been listed again. (I don't remember whether there was an Entrupy "COA" at that time.)

To stress the point (even more strongly) of how dreadful Entrupy's record is, how much caution buyers need when buying from a seller showing an Entrupy COA and worse, their lack of responsiveness to notification of errors, I point to this poster's experience.

Note that the TPF poster, seller was a paying client, directly participating with Entrupy and paying their annual (?) membership fees (as opposed to buying from another seller who uses Entrupy) and their software f-ed up.

Her story starts here, followed on the next page by several questions I've had since first learning about their AI authentications:

Entrupy had no interest in hearing about mistakes and making corrections.

Here it is again! Hyacinth evaluated this bag for me last month and determined that it's fake. Goodwill has now relisted it and is even using the same photos as last time.

I notified them again, provided evidence that their authenticator is mistaken, and reminded that selling counterfeit goods is illegal.
Sorry but I don't believe that Goodwill or Entrupy care about accuracy.

I believe that! My correspondence with that Goodwill has disappeared, the auction is still up, and there's one bid on the bag. Unbelievable.

Also last month I had looked at another Goodwill bag--a green Willis (or, "Willis") which was evaluated here as fake. I passed the news to the seller but the auction continued. It went for $251.

Buyers beware! So grateful for authenticators here.

Ugh! I reported this last night but it wasn't removed. This morning, it was sold. :(

Maybe it'll be removed if reported before the buyer pays.

On 8/29/23, Hyacinth and BeenBurned judged this green Willis as a fake. Based on that, I notifed the seller. Goodwill honored my request to retract my bid. Yet here is the same bag (with the same photos and "COA," and no clear creed pic) up for auction again.

Maybe you might let the authentication company know that they goofed. I'd like to think they might be more responsive than Goodwill and Entrupy.

Clearly, Goodwill didn't notify the company after you won and canceled this listing:

The thing is, if they (the authentication companies) aren't informed that they got it wrong, they don't know when they make mistakes. I doubt that Goodwill notifies them of problems.

I had tended to trust that authentication service more after reading that Debi the Restorer evaluates Coach bags for them. *sigh*

(This reminds me that it's time to start posting my collection for authentication here. Several were purchased new so I'm sure of them. The rest are from here and there, secondhand or more.)

Thank you, BeenBurned!

Oh, I didn't win that! I bid big (for me; nowhere near $251) then got cold feet, applied here for authentication, and once advised asked to withdraw my bid which the seller did. Then, surprise: Goodwill not only didn't take the listing down, they allowed bidding to continue! Then somehow the item reappeared.
