That wristlet -- I'd never seen that particular fake style before! And all of a sudden, there are 2 of them!

I notified the seller that this bag is fake and her response: "Thank you for your concern but we can guarantee we don't sell fakes :heart::heart:"
Hmm.

Is openforvintage Japanese? Does Poshmark have Japanese sellers?

The listing @houseof999 posted above is the same POS that has been listed (in the past) on ebay (and removed) and is currently listed again on ebay. It's the same fake bag with the same pictures.

And unlike Poshmark (and the seller openforvintage ) it's likely that the listing WILL be removed from ebay. (THe same bag from the same seller was removed from ebay when listed on Sept. 28.)

Japanese seller yumeichibapremium (65)

What I find odd is that openforvintage sold that fake on Poshmark for $473 yet the Japanese ebay seller yumeichibapremium has it for $152.

I think we have a contender for fake. "This is a Coach product." and the backwards G on the creed. JIG, as in the "jig is up!"?

Just curious: was the City Bag (authentic) ever made in lime green? It would be interesting to have a listing of all the bags made in each real Coach vintage color. Has anyone ever done such a list?

No,it would be a massive job since colors sometimes changed every SEASON, not just every year, and it still wouldn't prove anything. Coach sometimes made special colors for retail partners and special releases for flagship stores and even for stores in resort towns that never made it into the catalogs. And the vast majority of fakes were made in standard Coach colors.

The best indications of whether a Coach is real or fake are almost always going to be the bag's details and the creed and serial number details and knowing exactly what the genuine examples looked like for that specific style, month, year and plant. Lists can be very dangerous to depend on, and we usually don't recommend them, photos are much more reliable. There are STILL inaccurate lists floating around the 'net and many websites claiming to show when certain Coach serial number formats were in use and those dates can be as much as TEN YEARS off.

Of course, if you want to buy an example of every Coach handbag catalog for every season that was ever released (which would still leave out the first 20 years or so) to copy the color names and photos, be my guest.

Point taken! I'm actually not looking to 'prove anything' via color, nor am I interested in more recent bags. When Coach introduced the logos (besides the tags), cloth linings, and mixed media, I lost interest fast.

Thanks for illustrating that the task would be more involved than I thought, and likely not terribly useful anyway...

We've had requests for lists of trustworthy sellers, and lists of plant codes, just to give 2 examples, and we don't recommend anything like that either. The only list I depend on that I can think of at the moment is the Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers List posted about halfway through the Salearea Coach Guides thread, and I KNOW that one is accurate because i researched it myself with plenty of of input from other tPF and Ebay Forums members. But it's almost completely geared for vintage Coaches.
