As I've been listing items, I get a prompt asking whether I want to use an AI description and since I didn't know what that was and wasn't sure how easy (or difficult) it would be to revert to my own description if I didn't like AI, I didn't test it.

Yikes! I saw something similar on a Mulberry at my local Value Village, as Savers is known in Canada, and they had the nerve to price it at $15.99. I will edit this post with pics later. Of course it didn't sell.

I'm pretty friendly with most of the management at this location and they're lovely, so I brought it to one of them and pointed out that this can't be salvaged and WTH with the price. He removed it, said it never should have been put out and that he would discuss with his production team.

The geniuses at my location consistently price fakes of every stripe, from clothes to handbags, based on the logo that appears on the item. The manager who seems to run this location is widely disliked, though friendly. I pointed out a Lulu top that was undeniably fake and her response was that she has to go by the Lulu symbol on the item, thus confirming that reason and logic don't exist under her supervision. She's the one running the sorting area. Smh.

The better management have informed me that they were trained to not evaluate based on brand, but on the degree of wear on an item, irrespective of whether it's PVC, leather, cashmere, nylon, etc. They were told the integrity of the item is what determines price.

Perusing GW and came across this listing for a "Vintage Sonoma Flap Messenger Shoulder Bag Purse" - what a mouthful! I immediately noticed the weirdly shiny, thick-looking leather, but what caught my eye was "COACH" stamped onto the front flap. I knew that couldn't be right from reading the SA Guides. Wouldn't you know it? An NT-4903 with zero bids. As a newb into the complicated world of fakery, it's cool to come across pictorial proof for this fake serial.
