ITA = I totally agree. That "search here" annoys me WHEN it's done in a rude way. I've done it myself only to show someone where it may be, but you don't have to add insulting comments. Also, just because a person has 2 to 3 times as many posts doesn't mean they're all knowing or pull rank. It may mean they talk as much as they listen. Take it with a grain of salt ladies and let's keep on having fun! :D
One of the forums I used to frequent had a little tag line "Don't take anything too seriously in here." We all need to go by this! I think we should all remember that this is a forum that is supposed to be a fun place to talk about our shared handbag addiction, not a place to be catty. I've never had a mean comment made toward me, but I do get annoyed at the "God, this has been discussed numerous times, search for it..." kind of responses that are given when a new member asks a question. We should make new members (and I'm still a newbie myself) feel welcome and the "seniors" should not be rude and pull rank because they have been a member of the forum longer.

God, there are much more important things in life than The Purse Forum...

i'm closing this thread and i will remind EVERYONE that no matter how many posts you have or how long you've been here, you do NOT have any authority or priority over newer members, and you will not recieve special treatment by the moderators if we find out you are behaving over PM in a way that is again our rules or Terms of Service agreement. just as in the LV forum a few weeks ago, we will not tolerate hazing, cliques, or discrimination against newer members. period. please think long and hard before you start acting like you own the place because of your post count, because if you're violating the rules, we don't care how many posts you have.

there are no "senior" members of tPF, and it might be important for people to remind themselves of that. there are moderators, and there are members.
