Wanted to post a small pet peeve I have with one of my new charms. This is a MFF charm with a cute lock and key. The lock and key are old brass but the clip and chain are the MFF satin gold. Ugghhh the mixed metals annoy me but I’ll probably still keep it ha! It’s much more noticeable in person. I wonder if the brass portion was originally made for something in the retail line but it was never made so they repurposed it because the outlet never uses old brass. Weird lol

Hmmm maybe you should follow up and see if they are all made like that or if you received a lemon (in case no one else in the forum shares their experience). From a quality perspective, I can’t understand how it would be acceptable especially if it is that noticeable....

When I zoom in on the photo in FOS you can see the mixed metals so I think it’s done on purpose ... or well I guess to just use up items they have.

I do really like the style though so I will most likely keep it. But I’ll be zooming in on other charms now! ETA I do also always remove the split key ring from my charms so I think once I do that it will look better since the big ugly ring will be off it. I don’t know why but the rings annoy me since I don’t use them for keys lol

I got that one, too, and it also has the mixed metals. Agree that it's mildly annoying. Would be so much better with the uniform brass look. But also... I'm not returning it!
