I posted the picture. It was a picture of a line of Dinky bags and there was a dinosaur charm on one of them. The photo was sent to me by my SA and the word is still that Dinky bags are coming out with random charms on them. Random is a vague word when speaking of bag charms. Each Dinky bag could come with a metal charm or they might come with only those strange plastic looking emot charms.....or both. With Coach, all you know for positive is that you can't count on anything for sure. :confused1:

That being said, look at the bags that were shown with the script hang tags that said, 'nomad' and 'wanted'......those bags aren't coming with those hang tags.....:tdown:

Maybe we'll get lucky and the charms will be something they sell separately so you can customize your Dinky.

(Doh! Look at the timestamps. Suzanne and I were typing at the same time. I'll still let mine here though, especially since I'm still considering the dismantlement I mentioned. Typing it out felt like I was cursing someone's mother .... but I still want to do it.)

Yes, sparkle1, you did indeed remember it correctly ... you were referring to this pic below, which was tossed around on the fall 2015 thread (although this is supposedly for spring).

Personally, I think those charms on the Dinky bag are staged for the pics. A couple posted that their SAs claimed these small charms would come randomly on the Dinky's, but ... well ... I'll believe that only if I see it. (We've heard a lot of claims from a lot of SA's, that have never panned out. And we know how Coach likes to pay fast and loose with the details while staging pics.) And I also won't be surprised if the emoji's come as one large fob, and they just dismantled a few for the photo shoot.

This may be sacrilegious to admit, but if the dinosaur mix keyring is still around at a Black Friday/Christmas PCE (and given how long fobs remain in FP now, there's a darn good chance it will), I might just get one and ... er ... dismantle it myself. That is, remove everything but the dinosaur and feather. I've been thinking about this ever since the darn thing came out. .... The fossil record is pretty clear that birds descended from dinosaurs, specifically the therapod group of which T-Rex is a member. So a feather and a therapod-skeleton fob? Yes, please. Even if I have to do it myself. ;)

Sorry Suzanne, we were apparently typing at the same time on those posts.

But about the charms coming randomly on the Dinky's ... it *would* be nice, but .... yeah, I just can't force myself to believe it either. They play so fast and loose when staging the photo shoots. And those small lobster claw clasps don't look very "Coach-ish" to me. They remind me more of a stop-gap during the photo-shoot.

If your SA says so ... well ... maybe. But even if she heard it from a superior or corporate ... I still wonder. There were plenty of SA's out there claiming that Boroughs would never go to outlet. Same claim (and even bigger claims) happened with the 2011 Legacy lines. Cripes, they even had SA's in customer service who didn't know whether or not to sell those early feather fobs during feather-gate. :shrugs: So I'm not sure how much I trust such rumors. Too much mis-speaking, mis-hearing, and Coach corporate fickleness.

I didn't even notice the lobster claw clasps. That makes me think of charms such as the ones Juicy used to make and Kate Spade and others still do.....maybe they will be sold separately so you can 'mix and match'. (But probably not since we really want them.)

The SA's can only parrot what is being told to them from up the food chain and so far the upper echelons are still saying they will 'come with random charms'. But Coach is notorious for saying one thing and doing another, we all know that. Or even worse, they actually come out with said items, but they end up being overseas exclusives. It's like, yea, we made them, but you can't have one.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if none of the charms shown in any of the photos were not ever made in any form, not as a hang tag, a separate purse charm or key fob. They really do have a bad habit of showing things on the runway or in magazine advertisements, making people want them really bad and then never manufacture them.

Yes, momtok, I would do the exact same thing! I have no interest in headphones and turntables, but a dinosaur and a feather together are brilliant!

Suzanne B-I knew I remembered that picture, and those colors and fobs are so appealing.

Thank you all for your information-I guess it is a waiting game now.

I think random charms with bags would be a complete disaster, can you imagine the chaos?

OK, I'm super confused! I never saw them on the website so I was under the impression that they hadn't been released yet. After reading your post I checked the website again and still nothing. Then I called and the lady I spoke with said that she was able to see that all 5 are in stock but not able to be ordered till 10/23. When I asked her why some were able to purchase these already, she had no answer. Does she not know what she's talking about? Should I try to call tomorrow and hope for a more knowledgeable CS rep? Do I need to shelepp to the mall to talk to someone in the store? HELP! :confused1::wtf:

Lol, in classic coach style we know some CS are clueless and others are more knowledgeable. Call your store and give the style #s and see if you get anywhere. You are talking about the 5 Baseman hang tags right?

I actually already purchased and received the 2 fuzzy ones from an eBay seller. I thought I was getting a great bargain when she had them listed for $95 OBO and my offer for $70 was accepted. I didn't know retail was only $65! Someday I'll learn to come to the forum BEFORE spending my hard earned cash!
