It is truly tragic when the manager of a Coach store (or any other fashion retailer) actually believes that THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS DIFFERENT TYPES OF PURPLE!!? Who hires these people?? I hope he's no longer there, or with Coach! I'll bet he's lost the company plenty of good potential customers -- glad your own SA saved the day! :giggle:
He is still there!!!! I truly hate it when he's there and won't stop in and browse for fun if my SA isn't there. He also once tried to get me to buy my 6 year old daughter and baby girl who was still in my belly matching full price swaggers! He acted like I was insane when I told him that it was too over the top for me. Yes, my 6 year old has a few Coach wristlets but they have all been previously owned by me or super clearance cheapies. She likes keeping a little bit of cash/coins to put in donation bins while we are out and a cute little chapstick. She then keeps the wristlet of her stuff in my bag.

Yup! New manager called and said he had some amazing new items in my favorite color that he put aside for me. He convinced me to drag my pathetic pregnant butt to the boutique to check them out. I got there and hated everything! My regular SA started her shift after he hounded me to buy for a good half hour. She came over and immediately said "oh, she will never buy any of this, it's not her color". He argued with both of us how there wasn't such a thing as different types of purple. I love ultraviolet, purple iris(from a few years back) and similar purples paired with only silver, gunmetal, or black hardware. He still wouldn't let up so I left before snapping on him (I'm a miserable, hormonal nut when pregnant). My SA later called and apologized for how pushy her new manager was and sent me chocolate. I will always refuse to buy from him, he acts like a stereotypical used car salesman.
What the... I've noticed Coach salespeople getting more persistent lately, but this is insane. No such thing as different types of purple? I take it he failed that color test that's been circulating. I must say I admire your composure. I'd have lost it; I can only imagine pregnancy being factored in with that.

Hmmm...Your mother has the mouth of a sailor -- that Coach store manager is obnoxious -- have you thought about taking your mom into that store with you, when your SA isn't there? Or might that lead to violence?
OMG! Haha, I think that would lead to purse funds going to bail money and nobody wants that! I do hope he gets fired though as bad as that sounds. I went and got Starbucks once with another one of the SAs there and she said he makes them all miserable. They really miss their old manager as do I but she got promoted to a much larger store.

I'm a crier only while pregnant. I knew if I let myself get worked up I probably would have yelled at him then cried and looked like an idiot lol. I can be several stores down and still can hear his big booming car salesman voice. I have no clue how he ever got such a job.

I just pulled the trigger on the Burgundy Rexy Tote 38, it'll arrive in a few days! I'm looking for an enabler to blame and I think YOU'RE IT, with all these droolable pics! The bright Red interior sealed the deal. I just posted on another thread (forgot which one) that I know when I'm defeated! :whiteflag:

I can't live without my Rexy Tote 38 any longer, haha!

I'm so glad that you're happy with her -- and thx for all the helpful (not to my wallet) pics!!

Well, I have this blog to thank for MY purchase of this tote as well...I think my enabler was Monsieur Mode after he posted look book photos that wore me down. So let's both just blame him, okay??

PS. If it is any consolation, it's probably one of my best used pieces I've ever bought. It was worth every penny. I've already used it as a work bag, weekender travel bag, and everyday bag. It is one of my best investment pieces I've ever bought. I had been looking for a tote and tried on a LV Neverfull but the shoulder straps were very uncomfortable for me. The three choices for carrying...handle, shoulder, cross-body on this 38 makes this bag so much more versatile. You'll have to let me know if you agree.

Oh, and responding to the tea rose coin purse question, it is a solid brownish-burgundy on back with no flowers on the back.

I agree...I would have lost it too! Harley77 may not lack impulse control...I can't say the same for me.

Sorry to hear more people are having bad customer service experiences at Coach, especially from managers. Lead by example much? Good for you @Harley77 for standing up for yourself but also handling it with grace.

I absolutely HATE it when people try to sell me things. Yeah, they're sales people but they don't know what I need or want. It's alright to offer and let people know about new stuff that has come in, but to go up to someone and try to convince them they need something they have zero interest in? The shadiness of it just makes me not want to buy anything. It's as if my brain decided that if I actually allow myself to be convinced into buying this thing by someone so pushy that means I pretty much got scammed.

Me too. Lots of texts. A few times a week. Sometimes I like getting them. Too many seem annoying. Salespeople, if you're out there...once a week is way more than enough.
