Coach Fall 2014 preview soon?

I think you have to put this in context. This collection is like the Poppy collection was when it initially launched. It was intended to attract a younger demographic. They didn't stop making their core products that appeal to a wide audience and make up over $4 Billion in annual revenue. They augment the product line to try to be more inclusive.

I am confident that when the full Fall preview press pix are released next month, you will see all the familiar Coach bags, all the tried and true silhouettes that make Coach, Coach. Plus, you will also see the new bags that are part of this collection. They will co-exist. ;)

That said, there are a couple of bags I am interested in seeing from this new line. I am neither super young nor particularly hip (and definitely not hip-hop) but I think there's something in there for me nonetheless!!

Oh, as far as the clothes...none of them are my style. Then again, I don't like any of the clothes that Coach has put out so far. I don't care for any of the shoes in this batch either. I do, however, like the mixed media d'Orsay pumps that are coming out this spring--I am contemplating those right now!

Very good reminder! I for one appreciate what you shared here. Experienced and insightful!

Thanks! I always enjoy reading your comments as well. :p

I am ready to buy this one--it's months away to the release, but I am already planning the purchase! I just need to hear what colors it's coming in! :graucho:

True, and not to mention that as the new collections actually start rolling out, people generally seem to find more and more things they like. I wasn't interested when I saw a lot of the Spring preview pics, but now I have several bags on my radar that I'm trying to decide between, lol.

It's runway, people. Those things are never styled for real life. It's to get the fashion press talking - and then when the stuff gets released to stores people see it on their own context.

Remember the "I'm never buying Coach again!!!!!" Hysteria when the previews showed up for Legacy? Very few diehards haven't found a single thing they love from Coach in the last 2 years , legacy haters or not.

Agreed, I just think that the typical coach customer is not in tune with how runway and capsule collections work. So it's mass hysteria now, but people will come to realize that not ALL coach bags will look like this, most of the coach bags will retain there same aesthetic and then there will be "capsule bags". Just like the borough, urbane etc.

Looks like Coach is running away from its own legacy, IMO. Why don't they keep some of the older (Krakoff) designs like Madison, and include these new directions? Then they might appeal to more ages & tastes.
