I agree with you. It's really beautiful, but is not an $1,800 bag. The rest of the details besides the crocodile are just regular rogue trimmings. It is stunning though.... The only reason I didn't buy it when it popped back on the site midweek was because I don't think Rogues are worth $1,800. (even though I love them).

I like aspects of it- the alligator skin itself, and the stitching down the middles. I don’t understand why they didn’t put alligator on both sides though, and why it doesn’t go all the way to the bottom. I’m with you- I would have expected what was originally a $4000 bag to look and feel a lot more luxe.
The lack of wrapping is a surprise too- I’m betting your bag was originally a display in the flagship store or used for ad campaign photos, but I would have thought they would have wrapped it back up! I’m kind of surprised it didn’t come with it’s own fancier box/dust bag/etc.
It seems like Coach was trying to dip its toe into Premier territory, but once again failed to nail the details...

ETA - I love texture of the croc rather than flat looking like pressed leather. I think the croc going all the way to the bottom would cause it to fold up when the bag is set down often which would bother me.

My bags arrived and the condition of the Western Embroidery and sunflower with snakeskin is awful they are completely squashed - they look like someone has been using them for the past 3 years.
My Felix looks good except it has very deep smile lines like everyone else has reported.
And the crocodile while in good condition is not an 1800 dollar bag - I think I may be sending everything back.
The sunflower is in a condition I would not have bought for 90% off.

I agree, I think having only one side croc, and the rest being regular rogue materials, makes the croc bag a $800 bag not an $1,800 bag. Sorry about the condition everything arrived in

Wow I really don't like this! It looks like they literally took the skin and just slapped it on a regular Rogue! I also don't like that it looks like the midsection of a crocodile with the sides hanging out outside of the bag's outline. Kwim? I think I would much prefer the look of a crocodile embossed leather Rogue instead!
True, I had thought about the potential for folding too, but I know that every time my borderline OCD self looked at the bag, my eye would zero in on that little strip of plain leather peeking out at the bottom. I think Coach could have added whipstitching or some other decorative element to finish that bottom edge. As it is now, it looks like Joe-Bob Leatherworker just decided to randomly slap a piece of alligator on...
Also, am I seeing that right? It looks like it doesn’t have the leather strips on the feet (so they really did add a hide to a 3rd generation bag). Why would Coach go to the trouble of making a limited edition, exotic bag, and then skimp on the details? If they’re not going to use a full piece of alligator hide, they could at least construct the bag out of a full-grain piece of leather, add back in the lock, etc., and upgrade the hardware. It’s not like Coach isn’t set up to do MTO Rogues or anything...
Honestly, if I were you I think I might send it back, and take the gamble that it’ll eventually turn back up at an even cheaper price...
Yes, my snakeskin whiplash goes to the bottom and the corner on the backside was folded up. Working on fixing it, it's a tiny piece so I'm not too concerned.
Unfortunately sounds like a fairly typical FOS experience (there are a few exceptions). This is why I try really hard not to buy on FOS anymore. I return almost everything. I keep things like the Star wars key fobs, that are new, etc, but Reserve bags I only have occasional luck in getting a good one.

It's 50/50 for me that it is a never touched bag. But I have only had to send back one rogue that looked like someone has used it for a year. Although the store bags were not wrapped as well, they were still in good enough shape for me to keep them. I have less luck on ebay where someone things they can use a bag for six months tape the tag back on and charge new prices lol
