I think the black smudge is from when they shoved the handles in the pocket. It may rub off if it's from the black snakeskin, but it's also deformed and has the stitching where the front pocket meets the main zip compartment coming loose where you can see the white beneath it. I'll just return, CS emailed me not 1 but 2 labels. I guess they must have been bored last night.
Yes it's really pretty and the smooth leather is buttery soft. I didn't pay attention to the stock photo, but the smooth was a pleasant surprise. Now I have a nice mix of leathers for my 25's... The hay is such a pretty color though. I use my matching clutch a lot. I think instead of trying to get another I will hope the pollen Cassie is as good a yellow.
I caved and ordered Tuesday when they added the extra 10%. I totally agree that this has a leg up on the 25 due to capacity and weight. I also love the longer strap drop and the lack of handles.
So the Tabitha 17 I got had no tassel which is mainly what bought the bag for. It turns out, as per store I bought it from and the CS - it never came with one. The tassel was a separate item. Talk about false advertising, Coach! Back to JAX it goes.

I have the larger pink tabitha and it came with the tassel - I believe the tassel was part of all the bags.
I bought both the small rivet and the larger floral. Both had tassels.

My Dakotah arrived, and - yes! - it was in the original packaging. It was all wrapped up and obviously never used, with the 1941 dust bag.
Have my bags - were not wrapped up but packed Ok - the western embroidery is such a pretty bag and now I see the appeal of chalk - my first light colored bag but do not like the stain - probably from the hardware
