It almost makes me want to steer clear of the classic signature patterned items from now on. :sad: I did also notice a few cute, and DIFFERENT bags that stood out and I thought "AH, Cute...and DIFFERENT". I did see a SUPER CUTE Denim Patchwork Hobo - SOOOOO CUTE!
I also saw a couple of girls carrying their really NICE and BIG Coach bags...why would you carry a nice, big bag to (what is basically) a huge "block party"?!!?
Has anyone else noticed just a TON of Coach bags around your town lately, or am I just noticing more of them now that I am INTO them and have my eye out?
I'll tell you what...I do LOVE the Signature styles - I think they (as someone else's post said) "scream Coach", but I think from now on I'd like to stick with more "unique" styles: I have not seen anyone (so far) carrying my Legacy Blk/Kh/Eb Shoulder Zip. I've only seen ONE Denim Carly (the lady at the GYM?!?!? carrying her Large one). I also like the classic, leather styles...which brings me to one question:
should I stick with the Denim Carly or try to get an all leather one?!!?/ Do you think the Carly Denim pattern/fabric will stick around (style-wise) for years to come or is it a fad/trend?!?!?

there are tons of Coach bags everywhere, I agree (especially in texas for some reason, I see them around here much much more than when I travel). I agree with you about not wanting what everyone has. I love when I find a rare older bag for new or almost new on ebay, or at the outlets etc. I just don't love buying the latest bag and then seeing everyone and their sister carrying it. agreed with what other posters said, the legacy stuff is pretty rare, I think because not every store carries it, and most dept stores dont', so not as many people have access to it.

and to answer your other question, no, I don't carry big bags to those outdoor festival things, just a small messenger bag or something like that.

don't be sad though, carry what you love and try not to worry too much about everyone else

Oh yes, me too! It's part of the reason why I have a wishlist of older bags-I still like them , but they are relatively unique. Thankfully, there's always the outlet and ebay!

Yep Coach has always been a big brand in NYC, You see the old classics, the new and the fakes. Ubiquitous! However, I have always loved Coach and probably will stick with them. I do find myself hankering for other bags, though.

I live in a rural area too, not too many designer bags. THere has been a slight influx in Coach on my campus, but I'm confident in my purchases and wear them. I feel like a million bucks!

I do see lots of coach bags in my travels but I'd say a good 30% are fakes.
I am carrying my pond legacy shoulder and I have yet to see one of those on anyone! (I see ali's more often)

Yesterday I had lunch at this place and a woman walked by me with a gorgeous carly bag.. I almost drooled into my food.

I have not run into anyone carrying the same coach bag as I am - but I do see Coach bags EVERYWHERE. But what do you expect when you are carrying the number one selling designer bag in America. I have no illusions that I am a member of some exlusive Coach club - if I really wanted to carry a bag that I won't see all over town - I'm gonna have to pay a lot more than $400 for it! It is what it is. I love all my Coach bags - and I'd much rather a Coach bag that everyone assumes is real - than an LV bag that everyone assumes is fake!!!

well said, I always worry when I carry my vintage LV tote which I love that people will think its' fake

I agree with the minority....I don't care if everyone else in the room is carrying the same bag as I am, I buy what I love. If it a popular stye it is popular for a reason, comfort, style etc. I don't buy bags just because they are Coach or LV or whatever. I buy what I like.

That is exactly what I think...I don't want to carry something that 'everyone else and their dog has'....unless I LOVE IT! That's why I want to be SO SURE of my purchases :yes:
TejasMama...I LOVE the braided hobo...I saw ONE last night and thought, "AH, that's CLASSY" - it's not the same as the regular sig bags - I like that special extra it has with the braided strap!!
Also, the Coach SA told me the other day to steer away from the ergos cuz EVERYONE AND THEIR DOG has them or WILL have them! I told her that's what I did NOT want....a bag just like everyone else!
LEGACY though...TIMELESS!!!!

Coach is always everywhere. Especially when I lived in NY. I have never not noticed this. It's because Coach is a relatively cheap designer compared to all the other high-end ones.

I don't think it's a big deal that a lot of people have them. It's still a nice, classy bag, and I wouldn't worry about everyone else. Just think of it as reinforcing what a good company they are that so many people would want to carry them. Although I do hate the fake ones!

I work at a college and this semester i've noticed a ton of coach, I don't mind... It gives me something to compliment them on and take their mind off the fact that I am charging them sooooo much money in college fees. I don't notice a whole lot of fake coaches, but OMG... The fake LV's!!:throwup:.
I've also noticed a whole lot of mothers/daughters coming in together with coaches, I think it's sweet. :)

While I so know what you are talking about, I don't let things like that bother me. I have bigger things to worry about.

I think of this way when it starts to irk me. "Wow, she has great taste!"

Luckily where I live almost no one carries Coach bags. Hehe, I live outside the San Juan metro area, in the "country", where only doctors and lawyers can afford Coach. I do know how you feel. I don't have an LV because everyone here, all over the island, has fakes of them. I'm going to pay a wad of cash to see a 14 y/o carrying a knockoff of my bag. Plus, I DO LOVE COACH SO.... :love:
